nobody would sell you shako in game anyway so trading would only create rmt
If there isn’t anything else worth to trade it for, then the itemization is a failure.
If there is, then you will find someone to trade with if the offer is right.
Got my first whisper from one and even a DM as well in Battlenet which I didn’t even realize was a thing.
Precisely. I think that’s what many in this thread are not understanding. The drop rate is so small that nobody here will ever see it. Right now you have to be delusional to think you’ll ever get it.
The ask of the thread is to increase the drop rate to the point that it is a chase item.
Even if there was, it would go RMT. Can’t wait for juicy “Echoing Fury” level RMT deals to pop in news - because with this near non existent drop rates - it’s just matter of time when this pops.
Here comes the casual extremist. “If I can’t have chase items then neither can the no life grinding hardcore maniacs!”
This guy has never seen a chase item in his life, so it’s only fair that no one else gets them in D4.
Good, I’m glad it’s super rare. That means min/max builds can’t be designed around it, its rarity makes it a bonus not a requirement. As it should be.
If by one month only 12 dropped. Blizzard is very very fast to ban people when RMT pops as you say.
I seriously hate people like you with comments that just go to extremes just to downplay the real problems.
I disagree in terms of drop rate buffs for uniques.
No char should need these items to be functional / playable. It will give a boost to your gameplay if you find one - which should not be guranteed.
I found in total 60 uniques since early access game release. They are dropping…
I only hope in seasons this drops rate is not same as now. Problems is whoever get this helmet = wins season leaderboard climb automatically unless player is pure casual and dont intend to go after leaderboard.
Therefor these uniques cant be that rare that only 1 player gets or few in whole season.
It’s hard to prove RMT. I trade said item for say 10M gold. No finding outside of the game transaction on some 3rd party website - that’s no easy task.
PoE for example is riddled with RMT, because there are people who can’t play the game if they don’t have HH on in first few days and grinding a logit one in those first few days is no slouch task. And they ban almost no one even tho in PoE it’s easier to recognize because nobody will sell you 100 Divines (or Exalts in older days) for like 10 chance orbs as the game’s economy is very black on white and not a matter of subjective values as here.
So good luck ever proving someone RMT that ultra rare item… even if some news about this pop on reddit - that’s still not a proof, but mere rumor level post.
Now it is the fairest situation we have. Only a few people get/got it.
When I think of D2(+R), you could raise the chances on dropping (ex. shako) through target farming these type of items. This technique is not existing in D4, what is good. Because a team with expirience would always be miles ahead of advanced solo players in these cirumstances.
Oh no! That makes me so sad. Whatever will I do. Anyway good luck with your Shako. I hope one drops for you.
Small brains in here not understanding the concept of rare vs basically non existent.
Btw seasons are ~3 months long, and no one will care about eternal realm just like every other arpg with seasons.
The issue is not team vs solo ect. Mby someone in experienced team player only gets this helmet and then will probably win season ladder. Problem is it should drop a lot more often and then let the player/team experience decide who has better/clever use of item when climbing ladder.
Idk maybe I’m wrong but Blizzard has your logs, your private messages, every gold you ever traded with anyone, every item you dropped etc. At this point it seems much easier to spot RMT. Like, the bot account that trades yellow items with really good stats for free to a person he never talked to, it’s extremely obvious. And most of these people that are RMT are RMT whales, they’ll spend thousands of $ and those guys represents a huge part of income for botters, ban those whales and RMT will decrease drastically. For POE it’s harder because it’s a F2P game but for D4, there is no excuse…
I never RMT in my life, I have over 1500hrs in poe but never had the HH
Still hoping to get it one day.
I’d much rather have near impossible to find items like this. It gives you something that will make it a very memorable experience, you can then show it off to all your friends. Diablo 2 had several items that were near impossible to find as well. My tip is to not expect to get them, don’t plan around items you’ll never find rather build around them if you do find them.
I think you are missing the point.
People are talking about stuff like Shako and Grandfather, not your 11th Rage of Harrogath.
They are apparently so rare, that devs felt the need to confirm the legitimacy of someone posting a picture of his drop, after a whole bunch of people called it fake.
It made sense to have extremely rare and powerful items in D2, but I really don’t see the point of having them in a Diablo with an extremely crippled trade system and an otherwise completely different itemization.
It feels like they added them in to appease D2 players, while not understanding in the slightest what made the itemization in D2 so great and exciting.
I was divided at first but after thinking about it for a while, I would tend to agree with you, while shako may be the best helmet in the game, it’s not “needed” for any build, it’s more like a huge bonus.
Anyway it’s a lvl 100 items and most people won’t even get to 100.
