i think there’s something wrong with my playstyle
i’m not having big issues cause i cleared a 105 pit with items at 8/9 masterwork and i think i can reach 115/120 but whenever i play i think my playstyle is wrong
my skills are: raise skeletons, golem, decrepify, blood mist, corpse tendrills and bone storm (i’m using maxroll guide, just blood mist instead of blight)
that’s what i do in pit/dungeons:
i cast bone storm whenever it’s not on cooldown
each time i see packs of mobs, i stay far away from them (not too much) and i cast decrepify
then i go with corpse trendills to group them (at this stage i may cast decrep again in case i’ve missed someone)
after that i go with golem and raise skeletons
blood mist is used only if i’m about to die
what am i doing wrong?
At high endgame levels you need to time your rotations of skills and multipliers as a Minion Necro.
I dont get what it is exactly you are struggling with by reading this post but i assume its damage?
You need to make sure you have 10 stacks of Blighted and have consumed 5 corpses to then cast CT and then press Golem.
You want all your multipliers active when you are going to do damage.
I would drop bone storm for army of the dead and drop blood mist for blight.
With the setup you have now you lose a lot of damage…
The correct way to do big damage in terms of rotation is imo:
Consume corpses so your at 4/5, check your Blighted stacks and when they are at 7-8, you cast army of the dead, then cast CT and when pulled, cast Decreptify and then consume your last corpse to be at 5/5, then press Golem for big damage. Keep pressing raise skeleton all the time for the empower and heal and spam Blight.
Without Bligh you lose a 20x multiplier and the chance for proccing Blighted faster.
Without Army of the dead you lose a big damage aspect and also the chance to get all your minions back if they die without having to raise them from a corpse.
You also dont want to stay too far away from your minions because of Hellbent Commander…
If you elaborate better what your actual problem is i might be able to pinpoint with helping but this above is general help with how to actually play a minion build at high endgame.
(Playing Minion Necro on a high endgame level requires you to be very aware of your stacks and manage your cooldowns and have great timing with your rotation. Its not as “lazy”, “onebutton”, “i dont have to do anything my minions does it all” build as people think it is.
my biggest problem is surviving, sometimes i get oneshotted, mainly from the boss
Wasn’t sure where else to ask, but I’ve been rearranging gear because of hitting breakpoints and was curious if +Ultimate Damage adds to AoD? I found a 2GA Flickerstep with 78.7% Ultimate Damage and 21% DR from Close with the “Each enemy you Evade through reduces Ultimate Active Cooldown by 4 secs”. I don’t need the last piece as my AoD is almost always up, but the other 2 wouldn’t hurt. Has anyone done testing with this?
Personally not tested it but its easy to test on the training dummy.
And since AOTD is a ultimate and have the ultimate skill tag, it should increase its damage.
Positioning is key. You can have all the DR and HP in the world and you will still be oneshotted by oneshots…
Whats your armor, res and hp at?
ty, just tested but only works for the little exploding skeletons and not worth anything. As for OP, there are a lot of questions as far as how you’re playing. I am in no way sure of your build as there are a lot of maxroll guides. Stay far enough away from stuff that your not in danger, but close enough to your minions for Hellbent Command to work (they have glowing hands if so). Also, are you spamming Raise skeleton every few seconds to keep empower up and consuming corpses? I use mist myself and in 140+ one shots is just something you’ll have to get used to. I’ve been using the extra 2 points on AoD incase my army needs to be reraised, so I’m not caught corpseless. 100% Decrep and Corpse Tendrils is a must later on in the game and Ranks to Crippling darkness tempers also help. Do not temper into Corpse Tendtrils duration, as it delays the amount of time they take to grasp on top of the grasp duration. So you can be sitting there waiting for 3-5 secs for them to grasp if so. Hope this helps, but if you can give more specifics than it will be easier to give some advice. GLHF
Yes of course, thats the ultimate lol, what were you thinking was going to get a damage increase?
