Barbs are hard if you don’t get armor, res and defense skills, but they got some fun skills like kick, jump and whirlwind.

It’s a shame that my barb deals only 10x more than other classes in S5. And my barb can’t be immune all the time like s4 sorc.
Good point. Rob applies changes into “his” builds, only after adivces from the community. Yes, he thanks it and highlights it, but by himself, he has no deep knowledge how barbs function. Just as a guy who only plays, spends a lot of time playing diablo, without analyses.

I don’t know if it will be season of the barbs but I have suspect the nerfs won’t feel so harsh with whatever new uniques and other undocumented changes the devs have in store.
I played a barb at the end of S4 after trying to cope through my meteor build sorc. I think barbs will always be popular because of the synergies, the dynamics and the spammy playstyle. I was blown away by how amazing the double swing dust devil build was. It can clear whole rooms in 1-3 seconds when my meteor build was just poo. Killing bosses on the barb, even if it had a lot of health felt good. Nothing on the sorc or necromancer feels as good as the barb does. Survivability, movement, damage, its all so smooth on the barb,
Why are the sorcs are the biggest whiners?
In fact, they had good builds every season, if not the strongest (season 1 (ice shard), season 3 (immortal inifinity teleport build), season 4 (immortal fire bolt build)
In season 2 they only had the BL build. really a tough fate
to season 0 i can’t say everything, because we were all rogues or necro’s in our clan.
season 3: the most points in gauntlet every week.
season 4: 10 levels deeper in the pit es every other class.
the crying is just ridiculous.
honestly i wish the sorc a druid fate that they really have a reason to cry.

Sorc was only #1 in S4 due to a broken mechanic that you needed GG gear for costing billions of gold.
Hope they nerf barbs more in S5.
yes whiny sorc, and the barbs had no broken mechanics, with no requirements for the gear that everyone was given for free.
if they buff druid it’s all fine for me.
youre the reason the game sucks. Sorcs in every diablo have been broken op and easy mode. I do not want to hear any complaints from some derp mage

As a guy who plays only Barb since the beginning of D4 and throughout the season - I agree with you - damage on Barb is overpowered.
Barb being tanky - that’s a classic, but the damage is too OP. At this point we’re like the omni character, we tank, we heal, we carry. It’s a bit disappointing.
Now Barb is getting some nerfs. I am slightly optimistic that they’ll get it right. Also there’s a good chance the nerfs will not be enough… I can already see a way where Barbs are ‘‘Overpowered’’ again. And yeah pun intended - it’ll be all about overpower builds like Upheaval, Death Blow or Hota this season.
Honestly, as a guy who’s played Barb only in Diablo 2,3 and 4 since 2008 I want to be tanky as hell and have some longer, more exciting battles where I bank on the class’ tankyness + combat movements and fight mechanics instead of one shotting stuff. For me that’s what will be fun.
Every main barb should go play a druid for a season, if only have a comparison what good and bad damage is. Barbs will dominate this season again.
WW alone is insane for 90% of the game.
I don’t think this will be the season of the Barbarian. More likely rogue or sorceress. Almost certainly rogue, because blizzard simply implemented the feedback from that wudijo clown. they have no opinion of their own. Pathetic.
They might as well take the Barbarian key passives out of the game now, they’re hardly of any use.

I played every class last season to 100 except necro. Buffs for druid and sorc seem OK. I don’t like necro so I skipped their notes. I kinda half expect nerfs on barb may have gone a bit far and they will have to rebalanced a few days in.
As many have said, not a fan of the hard caps for everything in game ie bleed. Would prefer scaling multi changes
