After completing the quest chain and having multiple 100s, I have not yet found a single compass outside of the season rewards. Helltide chests, pits, nightmares, doomsayers, nothing works. Killed the joy of wanting to try the new season.

had the same problem until i realized the next step in quest chain is a priority quest not a seasonal green quest. after completing that the compasses started dropping. hope it helps
