Could you explain Fram Gen, I looked for it in the setting and couldn’t find it.
It actually is only available for 4000 series RTX cards, so you wouldn’t see the gfx option.
Well, that would explain why I can’t find that option when I looked for it.
Keeping this thread alive as today was a horrific day for disconnects for me… WTF
Thanks for keeping it going. I didn’t play today but two days ago that was the way it was for me!
Hi,
i just came here after installing your newest update, i had none of these problems while gaming last month, but after this update the game is freezing after chosing the charakter, while loading the game or if there was a lucky try, after a minute or two of gameing. First i’ve thought there is an hardware problem and started mem-, cpu and hddchecks, but they’re all passing, without any problems. I am gaming with an rtx 2070 and and Intel Core i7-8750H / 2,2 GHz. Please help and get this update fixed!
Hello Kronos, I’m sorry to hear that you are now experiencing problems. This season for me has been more stable than the last. The first two days nothing but now I’m getting the random disconnects again. Not as frequently as last season and the last of season 3 but they are still there.
The disconnects, lag and rubber-banding issues are still heavily present, a year and 1 billion+ in profit later.
Nice.
Hello Basalticboi, the first couple of days I didn’t have any problems but as the season goes on the disconnects are getting out of hand definitely. That and the crashes when I’m trying to exit the game, which in my opinion is kind of weird.
I had issues, but I was on an older computer, so with my new one, I thought these issues would be fixed and I could run the game on not complete butt settings. I did come back in Season 4, with said new PC and the rubberbanding is insane. I have had moments from it where I had to walk away or I was going to let my anger over a game win. Because yeah it’s a game, but losing to a high-tier Horde because the game isn’t stable? Frustrating when it keeps happening.
It makes me not want to play most days, which sucks because overall I am enjoying the new take on the game. I also get tons of lock-ups/ crashes as well from said rubberbanding and lag.
The current PC details:
Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13600K 3.50GHz (if this matters 14cores)
64GB RAM
4 TB SSD
Geforce RTX 4070
and a 2560x1440 165Hz monitor
I feel like the game shouldn’t have the issues it’s having running, even rendering all the other players.
I have a really nice computer and my internet connection is the fastest available in my area. I don’t have any wi-fi issues. I have turned off crossplay. I am still rubberbanding like hell despite trying all kinds of settings. I have played this game through all sorts of issues but it’s getting so annoying that I’m thinking about just letting the game go - which is really frustrating because I already purchased the expansion, which I regret. To make matters worse, it seems like many others are having the same issue. I have one friend who quit playing altogether because of the disconnects.
Hello Thrun, did you read my part of the post I have a put some fixes that I found worked. There are a lot of things that you have to change but for the last two days I haven’t had any issues with rubber banding, disconnects or crashes. I know my part of the post is long, mostly documenting my problems but there are some fixes there too.
Yeah, I changed my nvidia settings based on your post and now first I couldn’t get out of character select. Then loaded in with an invisible character…
I was able to play a bit a day or two ago after “repairing” the game. Now it’s right back to rubberbanding like crazy making the game unplayable.
Hello Thrun, I’m not sure why you couldn’t get out of the character select or it being invisible. I’ve never had that happen so I’m not sure what the issue is with your game. I starting to get crashes again but the rubber banding for me hasn’t been a problem. There are other fixes that I and others have put forth so it might be a combination of all of the fixes that helped. But like I said I’m getting crashes again, so the problem has to be on their end. We can make all of the system tweaks we can but ultimately it will have to be a change on Blizzard’s side.
I have been playing off and on this season, keep trying things, but so far, been playing really well. No issues, no lag, nothing.
But I only get to play maybe an hour or two tops at a stretch. Lot of other things going on around me lately.
That said, I know many are having issues, but there has to be a reason for them, and as much as many don’t want to hear it, its not going to be 100% one possible cause, and is very likely to be something you can adjust.
And having said that, I will also agree again, that this game is damn fussy about how your system is setup, what kind of internet you use, how you connect to it, what else may be running that could interfere with it, etc.
Its way too fussy and needs to be fixed to a point where its more… uniform in how it runs on various hardware/configs.
None of their other games are nearly as fussy. If any of them, D2R would be the next worst one.
But D4 can be setup to run nice, and for many it plays fine. But those of you having issues are obviously going to feel quite the opposite. I get it.
I wish I had better answers outside of pointing you at guessafixes. (Fixes that work sometimes for some of you)
Anyway. Hang in there, keep trying things if you can.
Hello DTMAce,
Like I said in my response to your last post, I didn’t have any issues until mid-season 3 when they removed the Chinese New Year event beyond a couple of game lags that didn’t really affect game play. The fixes that a lot of us have put forth in this thread have help some and haven’t helped others. There is something on Blizzards side that has caused the problems. The fixes that I have suggested are fixes that Blizzard suggested that others posted on different websites or in other posts in the forums for D4. It is kind of a Wack-a-mole process but if something does help someone then posting them here if helpful. Like I said you are one of the lucky ones that isn’t experiencing problems, and I was also until mid-season 3. So, hopefully when the extension pack comes out Blizzard will have figured out what the issues are, and the fix will be there.
Until season 3 my game was working well, no lag, no disconnections, no issues, nothing. Since season 4 and 5, game crashes every time, mostly disconnections.
Same computer, same internet, same devices, nothing changed on my side.
There is something on Blizzard side, for sure, 100% but is more easy to keep players trying to find a miracle solution in forums (spoiler: nothing works).
This is frustrating to see that Blizzard seats on their office and doing nothing to solve their game issues.
Hello CIB3R, I agree, I didn’t have any problems until mid-Season 3 when they removed the Chinese New Year event. After that the disconnect, crashes and the game not responding have been frustrating. And the lack of help from Blizzard even more frustrating. And it’s the same with me, same computer and Internet, nothing changed on my end so yes, it’s a Blizzard end thing. There have been some that are lucky enough not to have any problems, but you would think that with all of people that are having problems they would at least put a post in the technical area or bug area saying they are trying to figure out the problem. Silence from them is frustrating!
Things turn worse. Since 1.5.1 now I’m getting black screen when teleporting (mixed with disconnections) and be forced to full restart the game but probably it’s on my side (ironic).
How it’s possible? HOW?
Same here, black screen when loading, sometimes it loads sometimes it doesnt. Few complete freezes (requires restart) and so on…
