Screw ranting for one second, what do you like about Diablo 4 so far?

Just a side note, once its on, you just have to stand near it. You dont have to click it.

The visual and some other detail. That is what I like about Blizzard, they put in the effort to make games more properly.

I just change my spec up. Ive run poison, trapper, tb, barrage, and i dont use the cookie cutter builds. Though i find it kinda funny that my original build is almost the same as.the one that kills uber lilith the fastest.

It’s so awesome how much veiled crystals run out so quickly in the game. No matter how many yellow gear you can salvage, there never seems to be enough to upgrade the gear, or reroll a much needed stat. . . Just great design. . .

I get your point, but there are definitely people on these forums I wouldn’t trust to build a game…like the people I’ve seen requesting storage Tetris, which is one of the things I hate the most in videogames. Easily a big reason I get so annoyed when playing something like D2/D2R or PoE, spending half my time organizing items.

I like how this game broke my gaming group to shreds , so now i have time to learn about fpga programming and other electronics projects

Me and the kid spend time playing zelda

I really enjoyed the story, because it’s the 1st time I’ve ever followed along, I’m now pretty excited for what else could happen.

I’m loving my Sorc, finding a build that isn’t weak has been a struggle though, using 3 def skills isn’t ideal either but yeah I’m actually still having a blast.

I’m enjoying Helltides, NM Dungeons, World Bossy Boss, Legions are cool, watching all the little dots running around and clashing on the mini-map is where it’s at imo.

I don’t actively do Tree stuff, just happens, it’s an easy side hustle.

I want to fill out all my Renown, get everything explored etc, just not in a hurry as that’s the road to burnout and boredom. :sloth:

I just got the cool ghost horse mount which I saw in Beta and I said '“oh yeah I want that baby asap, that’s my mount”, and bam I now have it and I’m very happy about that, and no cash shop needed.

I like the transmogs, I want more though and no I’m not paying $20+ for it, unless the thing is animated like the state fair with active firework displays for shoulder pads! :fireworks:

D4 looks stellar, music is Diablo enough, although I’d have preferred they use some of the old stuff too, but that’s me.

I’m excited to play the other classes too, my Druid looks like Steven Segal, which is too funny. I may delete him and make a new one called Steve.

Seasons incoming soon, so that’ll be awesome too, so much to do!

I’m just really enjoying plodding my way through the game…on my Ghost horse mount, it dropped today, did I mention that yet?

See y’all in Hell!

Sorry, I wish I could find one thing to like about the game unfortunately when I look at the screen all I see is VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE! VULNERABLE!

The aesthetic and overall art direction are the only thing I’d give big approval to Diablo 4 on.

Everything else the game brings isn’t really innovative or even that well done, the game seems to have come out about a year before it should have.

I wish I had more praise for the game, but I really can’t pin point anything it does better than the competition, or even better than older iterations of Diablo that it’s borrowing from.

The open-world.

When I see how games like Metal Gear Solid or God of War or Zelda or Dark Souls were able to completely reinvent themselves for the better by going open-world, I see no reason why a Diablo game can’t do the same. I see some people opposed to the idea just because they want games to continue being stupidly simple and linear like the games they remember from when they were 12.

Diablo’s open-world implementation is obviously not the best with frequent loading screens, questionable kbm mount controls, and very narrow and linear terrain at times, but there is still a lot of potential there and a lot more time to work on it between seasons and expansions.

I like the rotting feeling in the world. IT has been 30 years since maltheal has been stopped. The prime evils released back into the world. And sanctuary has just started rotting. like a cesspool. And I am here for it!

Ive thought about this, truth be told, nothing in particular stands out that i can say i really like. Im still playing buts its all very mediocre. I think im still being fueled by my love for d2.

Edit
im trying really hard here and ill say, some of the art is cool. The open world was cool at first but now has become more of an inconevenience after the novelty wore off. Having a horse that gets stuck on every pebble doesnt help either.

I do enjoy some of the pvp but it lacks depth, feels kinda gimmicky but it is fun farming ears with friends

Some of the environment designs are nice. All the details and small props added to each town.

I had a lot of fun with the campaign overall. It was a smooth ride for the most part and was able to enjoy the story/plus go at my own pace.

I’ve got gripes like a lot of people, but there are some good bits throughout.

I like the level scaling. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but it is awesome how players of different levels can fight at relatively the same strength despite being levels apart. It makes group play fun, you don’t have to grind to catch up to friends as long as you are in the same world tier.

Well that’s a loaded question I guess.

D4 is okie day - however there’s allot to absorb.

Personally this feels like a port from Diablo Immortal with all the crazy bat sh*t stuff from that build. It feels like I’m playing Diablo Immortal to TBH.

Im still trying to decide if I really like this or just contemplating my options at this point.

Ive concluded that if youre new to the series and dont have the old diablo mindset of min max and push, youll probably enjoy the short ride, blissfully unaware of all the missed potential.

If youre a vet, this game is extremely underwhelming in pretty much every area

D4 has interesting paragon system for sure, the rest D3 does a better job at… especially endgame and making me feel like I want to log in and play.

:beers:

Its just plain fun. The constant psuh to make your character stronger and obliterate mobs is good. Finding statues throughout the world and seeing an event pop up are also fun.

The movie standard Cinematics cut scenes.

The open world concept during Helltides, World boss brings back my Guild Wars 2 nostalgia.

I like the World Events where I can see other players. This is my first time playing Diablo on a console. It’s hard to make new friends with on screen keyboard.
