Same Exact End game as Season 4

So with the expansion I expected a giant leap in content…because well it’s an expansion. This is the same content loop as Season 4. So basically they added more campaign that cliffhangers and another character and that’s it?

This should have been something heralded as a DLC and shouldn’t have been hyped like it was. I’m not trying to be too negative but the content added with the expansion is incredibly disappointing.

They added two new pieces of endgame content which was the new co-op dungeon, and Undercity Kurast. They’ve been advertising this for months now.

Now I’ll agree we can always use more content, but you shouldn’t be surprised by what we got.

That’s like adding a new layout to a game and calling it an expansion.

That’s something you can label as seasonal content. Justifying an expansion for that is actually crazy.

However if you still bought it, that would prove you didn’t do your research. Which you think you would be more cautious considering the launch of the base game, unless you’re a brand new player, but still. I’m not saying your opinion is wrong, but in the future I would highly recommend you do your homework before you buy something.

Really? You wanted all this they added in Xpack for free?
Now THAT IS actually crazy!

You wouldn’t last long as company before getting ruined. Trust me. :slightly_smiling_face:

Here’s the thing, posting 10000 things making campfire chats and hyping up the release of a new expansion and then launching that expansion with lackluster content is not something that should be expected.

Blaming the consumer for being unhappy with a product is pretty interesting. I would side with you if I bought a sweater and was upset it didn’t work as good as a towel but in this case they marketed the sweater as a towel. Somehow your finger pointing at the consumer (me) for not doing independent research to verify that it worked.

Pretty interesting logic. For sure. Let’s not even talk about the campaign not actually having a conclusion.

I’m not blaming you for being unhappy, I’m saying you should’ve known what was coming, big difference. It’s 50/50 blame here. Are Blizzard to blame for a lackluster product in your eyes? Absolutely, but you have to share that blame when you knew exactly what was coming, and still bought it anyway.

It’s like buying a cheeseburger at McDonald’s and expecting filet mignon and then complaining it wasn’t what you ordered.

So how was I supposed to know that the campaign didn’t actually have a conclusion?

Using your McDonald’s analogy that’s like going to McDonalds and buying a burger and then getting that burger without a patty. Then you look at the person who bought it and say…well you didn’t specify you wanted a patty.

Now you’re switching topics. Your original post is about the endgame content, not the campaign. We can switch topics if you want and go off of your experience with the campaign, that’s perfectly fine. However I went off your original post, not your current topic.

Again this isn’t a disagreement with your opinion. I’m just going off the premise of the content we were told we were getting, aside from the length of the campaign.

I added onto the original topic because the issue with this expansion is multi-faceted the end game loop is basically seasonal content additions and the actual expansion it self with the new story they’ve heralded is completely unfinished and no amount of research would have revealed that.

The fact that you believe the consumer is in some way to blame for the lackluster additions bundled into an expansion release is extremely interesting.

UC of Kurast is essentially just the trials, which they removed this season.

Again you’re getting it twisted, it’s not our fault for the lackluster additions of an expansion. However we are partially to blame when we knew exactly what was coming (again aside from the length of the expansion), didn’t wait for it to come out to see the actual problems with the expansion, and still bought it anyway essentially sight unseen.

I refer you back to the launch of the base game. We got fooled once, that’s on them. Second time around though, you can’t exactly say you were mislead when they revealed exactly what would be coming into the expansion. Again aside from the length of the campaign.

If I pay a charlatan money for a product, and he hits me over the head with a hammer, that’s on him. He tricked me. Now if I pay him a 2nd time, expecting a completely different result, that’s on me.

If you think this is the same as before, maybe it is time for you to find a different game to play because the changes with the expac are huge. There is so much to do in the endgame, you have choices. Not sure how you don’t see it.

Right but the consumer is never to blame for bad business practice.

I think if more people were more critical (non-troll) of scummy business practices and less people defended these practices it would be better for the gaming community altogether.

You coming in here trying to argue their side of things just honestly blows my mind. That’s kind of what your’re doing and it’s weird.

:100:% Agree.

Again this isn’t defending, I’m telling you objectively what happened. That would be like me telling you how guns are made, and you telling me I’m defending gun makers.

I’m trying to get you to see both sides of the argument, not your one side. I’m asking you to think critically and learn from your mistakes as a consumer. Otherwise this cycle will continue.

I completely agree people should hold companies responsible for their own actions, and how do we do that as consumers? By not purchasing their products. We hold the power, not them.

i mean it was cleary advertised what content is going to be there. not sure what you were expecting.

Think i will wait with expansion, later they will collect al the expansions and sell at low price, hopefully then it will be as significant as RoS.

You are the perfect example of a smart consumer. Genuinely thank you for this.
