The loot hunt becomes even more tedious with the ridiculous reduction of Ancestral drop rates across the board. So if they want to make seasons last longer, the game needs at least DOUBLE the endgame activities.
Simply stretching out the current BORING content will make people burn out even faster and not even bother finishing the season.
Which is why we need, once again, a different game director who actually plays games.
I thought from very early on in the games launch that they should of made NMD’s the endgame, and added some type of mapping system to them , and added new mechanics inside of dungeons, not sure why they havent done this. The game really needs a meta progressive endgame system imo.
Also the Lair bossing system could feel ok once we get a progressive endgame system, but i am very curious how it would feel to change bossing so its similar to D2 style of bossing were you run thru a bosses Lair/zone to get to them, then add timers to each boss so we can do competitive boss races.
rich coming from one with a post history of almost 14.5k posts of nothing BUT yapping.
thank you for proving me right
but keep shilling for that green text lol. you might eventually get it by 2035 past the 500k posts mark.
they already were the endgame from the start, and everyone hated them because it was almost D4’s version of grifts which the majority also hate.
D3 rifts would’ve been a nice addition if they made a proper effort to make them random, and include non-main game zones in it to truly make them feel new and fresh. but each new game director has been even more useless than the last. there’s literally no hope for this game.
turning it into a race is a horrible idea since that would force everyone to gimp their preferred damage build in order to include at least one movement skill.
but the mini-bosses and act bosses should’ve always been accessible in the open world from the start outside of story mode.
grouping for bosses is not a bad thing, if done right. but these ideas are ultimately gimped by the ultimate goal: the loot. D4 itemization and customization sucks so ideas like these completely lose their lustre because in the end you’ve pretty much wasted your time, because all you get is
Immortal does it so much better because, despite being built around P2W, you’re always upgrading your gear because of the ever-increasing Combat Rating and the goalpost is always moved further up, so this way you always have something to work towards.
See OP - thats a proper idea, sadly not coming from you, who created this thread.
so… where is your reddit idea list?
@Dragondyce - honestly, i kinda agree. I mean very earily on nmds were pretty much the endgame. But along the way they heavily lost their importance and indentity. Id love if something would be done about that as its a huge part of the game, that doesnt feel ultilized properly. as per status quo i go there like in the first day of the season, and then i never do dungeons again. Thats a lot of wasted potential considering we got 160+ dungeons
ideas for improving D4 are literally an alien language to you. why would you want to put yourself through that, when you know for a fact you wouldn’t understand a thing?
I mean we’re all mazochists on some level, but…yikes.
thanks for the bumps though!
I’m talking about Diablo 4, not Maple Story or the latest shiny browser game.
dude, we can only ask. you created a thread. you asked for the attention. Now is your time to shine. Why dont you share your list from reddit with awesome ideas?
You really are just yapping here. Only suggestion came from dragondyce.
if you look at path of exile 1, mapping atlas i believe thats the type of thing they are talking about, something thats progressive and has a goal and is repeatable that we can focus on once we have obtained all our of gear and powers
