S7 Maxroll tier list is out

I don’t see the witchcraft powers or gems in any of the builds. Unless I’m blind.

It’s not you, they’re S6 build guides.

I only saw season 7 listed at the top. I thought from thread title they’d be S7 builds. I’d assume the season 7 borrowed power must make some difference. Some S7 new unique items are shown on the characters.

The build guides are not updated just the tier lists.

Something worth pointing out here.

These tier lists and builds are just what min-maxers have created, mostly on paper or during PTR testing. Which is not to say they’re bad builds. They’re perfectly fine. However, that doesn’t mean your favourite build or class, even if they’re nerfed, are completely unplayable. Almost all builds will be able to enjoy the game, push up through the season journey, and I’d say even complete it.

Same goes for custom builds, or builds from other websites like Icy-Veins or builds from YouTube videos that don’t appear on the Maxroll website.

So by all means, look at the tier list and see how well your class stacks up against others this season, but don’t consider it the ‘be all, end all’ list. Don’t stop playing your favourite class even if your build isn’t listed or it’s rated poorly. I know for most of this season I played a Shotgun Incinterate build, which doesn’t appear at all on the Maxroll website, and I was able to complete almost all of the season journey and clear Torment IV content despite the build not being ‘meta’ or part of any ranking list.

End of the day, play what’s fun. It’s your time playing the game. Enjoy it! Even if a list tells you your build is bad.

Icyveins also has some partial S7 tiers lists.
Wowhead has nothing yet.
D4builds nothing yet?
Mobalytics also nothing yet?

S7 hasn’t started yet. Wait a hour after the S7 starts… :joy:

If a build is bad, it’s bad. I used to play Arc Lash sorc every season and S5 was the first season that I switch to playing meta because Arc Lash was really that bad.

Unless you like artificial difficulty and struggling in content that other builds breeze through, tier lists are very relevant.

I’m not going to play Ball Lightning this season because I don’t like artificial difficulty.

And it’s not just a numbers issue. Arc Lash has bad single target damage, practically no AoE damage, bad interactions with other abilities and effects and it’s extremely gear-dependent. There’s no reason to ever play Arc Lash.

This tier list should be considered at this moment as a prediction.

Because no one used the classes since the nerf and buff.

Rogue received some buff really huge, and the RoA little nerf (100% => 80%) is not strong enough, to put RoA A Tier.

Death Trap can be hugely strong (i smashed a Pit 120 in 5 minutes with it on the PTR) but RoA is still forward for me.

Barbarian and Druide are in a good spot even if Bouldercane is going back to the normal way.

The final tier list will be probably on the way after 2 weeks of S7 (with all bug interactions).

Minion B tier as always.

Another pass season

No it’s the end of the world and I’m uninstalling.

None of the builds include big froggy.

FROGGY STRIKE!!!

2 weeks? 2 hours more like that…

2 hours to reach P200 with 5 Boards, 4 Legendary nodes?

Damn, chinese level of gameplay style.

Just wait and see…
Mark my words…
You’ll see para levels builds roll out in the first hours…
Wait and see…

There is still possibilities than a Tier List can be update after 1 day.

But like the previous seasons, the tier list constantly updated until 2 weeks of season.

Because players find some nasty bug or snapshot who make a build overpower.

If a build is bad according to min-maxers, doesn’t mean it can’t be fun.

For example, the shotgun incinerate build I used for most of Season 6. It was fantastic. Very fun to play, especially once I started masterworking gear. But Maxroll didn’t bother making a guide for it.

I managed to push all the way up to Torment IV with it. I was melting bosses. Even managed to burn through a decent chunk of Uber Lilith’s health with it. Admittedly, though, I never managed to kill her. I tried shortly after I hit level 60, so I was still undergeared, didn’t have any ascended gear, and didn’t have anything masterworked or even tempered. But despite that, I was putting out so much damage that I still got her to 50% before she killed me.

So yeah, no, tier lists are not everything, and you should play what’s fun. Not what another muppet tells you to play because they ran sims and performance was high on those simmed builds.

Initial ranking are usually wrong. There will be some broken meta builds that haven’t been worked out yet.

So Druid is in a good place. Dunno if its just a joke or a straight up lie.

Gutting crucial sorc passives was such a great idea. Thanks Blizzard - because making sorc even weaker was what we all really needed.

Lacerate was really a interesting gameplay style, i hope Druid will get some attention because “Lobby” theorycrafter community didn’t really no care about the potential really huge how this build.
