S7 HYPE LEVEL CHECK! đŸ„ș

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Just speculation.

Thank you for the confirmation.

I don’t care. they should fix SB midseason 6. now is too late, I already switched to another game.

I was emotionally invested when I played those games at that time. I have a fondness for the franchise, however I’m not attached to it. If D4 stops holding my interest I’ll move on.

I also treat each game individually, not as a whole. As each one has offered a completely different experience. That’s my own personal logic, which I know not everyone agrees with.

Another good example would be the Mass Effect series, really enjoyed the first three, was disappointed in Andromeda, never bought it, and have since moved on. Wasn’t that big of a deal to me.

Now if I had bought the game, played it and hated it, I’d possibly leave a review and just silently leave. As I’ve done with countless other games.

Hell I still have old NES games I never touched beyond a first play through as they were horrible. We didn’t have the interwebs back then, realistically speaking there was no one to complain to or share your pain with other than your friends.

Although even then, we’d say it was a horrible game, and continue on with another conversation after venting our disappointments with the game. Now it might pop up again on occasion when talking about bad games in general, but we didn’t constantly bring up the topic.

I’m at about a 6. I tried the PTR and wasn’t very excited for many of the changes. The theme is kinda mid. Glad we will finally have an armory but it should’ve been in the game at launch or at the very least, shipped with the expansion.

There’s still so much left to be desired- leaderboards, community tools, player/clan housing, various QoL improvements especially for trading. The list goes on. It will interesting to see what Blizzard will do to draw players back and away from PoE 2.

Im sitting this out,

i probably wont come back till the game is a finished product and diablo is in the game. No more paying $100 for individual expansions, ill wait till the rest go on sale.

Hopefully the game will be better by then.

Hype right now is sitting at about a 5 since I was here for S2 and it being a similar season. I do think it will be a solidly enjoyable season as I did enjoy S2. I purposefully did not play the PTR much as to not spoil the season further. I think newer players that may not have been here for S2 will have a great time.

I’m intrigued by this, I never even thought of it myself. From a narrative standpoint it doesn’t make sense, but from a purely gameplay perspective that could be cool. I think guild halls were a planned feature of D2 but got the axe.

What number does “uninstalled Diablo 4” get me? 0? -1?

Many posts in this thread. So, what’s the current HYPE score? Anyone counting?

I am ready to raise a bit my score if the result starts getting below Beetle-DEUCE.

Ohhh, your “that” kind of person. Well I 100% respect that.
Being Cynical yet hopeful is something I can relate to.

~6/10.
Number of new powers is great, number of new unique items again very disappointing. If they cant get this right, then the seasons will get shorter and shorter for me.

I think the 1 thing that people are likely most excited for in Season 7 the armory. It’s been a long requested feature.

I am looking forward to the ability for all paragon xp gained during season to transfer to the eternal realm.

The only feature that I want more is for us to be able to rebirth existing characters.

For what? Stock? Eternal realm is pretty useless

They have NEVER “fixed” a class mid-season. Even Sorc Ball Lightning didn’t get a mid-season nerf.

All of what you’re saying is great and I agree with. Mass Effect is a good example here actually to showcase what’s different to me at least. Andromeda was a bad game from day 1. Sure, they tried patching it here and there but it wasn’t a live-service game or had seasons. That was it. D4 on the other hand not only launched arguably quite different but changed philosophy and dare I say target audiences post launch. That’s a very bold and naturally divisive choice. Last but not least, it got massive systemic changes every 3 months.

It’s like comparing Super Mario to WOW. Most games launch the way they are and maybe change slightly and some of them change a lot. I think you’re oversimplifying the comparison a bit by essentially saying “hey, it’s just a game, if you don’t like it scoot” which is a bit dismissive. But I get it; it’s tiring to see the same people bring the same points over and over again. Oh well.

Gonna be a 1 from me dog. Sorry, kinda quit D4, checking in here from time to time.

Not going to play because you hear its worse is a terrible take. Play if you want or dont but make it your decision. Realistically it take 6 hours to reach 60 slow. At that point you can see how it is yourself

I would say my “hype level” is at 0.

At this point, it might raise a bit in another 3 years or so. Until then I’ll just keep playing D3.

Oh agreed, wasn’t necessarily what I was after, but as you stated:

But I get it; it’s tiring to see the same people bring the same points over and over again. Oh well.

We typically hear the same thing from the same people who claim to have not played the game since whatever season, but still like to chime in on a game they haven’t been a part of. It does start to become a broken record after a while is all.

Not that people who don’t like the game shouldn’t be able to say their piece. However I’m not sure the CM’s see it as relevant when the users themselves claim to no longer play the game, and are just hanging around the water cooler.

Also why these individuals typically are targets for trolling by other individuals on here. Just comes with the territory is all.

Personally speaking I see us all as friends talking about the game. We have Jimmy over there who makes fun of the game whenever he gets but actively plays. Paul refuses to play the game and says it’s trash anytime the subject is brought up. Anthony praises the game while also admitting it needs work, also loves to poke the bear by making fun of Paul’s game of choice.

Add in whatever other characters you want of course but you get the idea.
