S7: Diablo 4's First REAL Season

Spicy season theme? Yes
Armory System? Yes
Better Pit experience? Tbd

when watching the video the people that is introducing Season 7 didn’t even look excited about it. The guy talking about upgrades looked like he wanted to get it over with, the tall guy kept talking about the frog, and the woman didn’t even know a single NPC name to let players know what they do it was like that those people didn’t know anything about Diablo at all. I’ll still play it just to make the tall guy happy to use an old Indiana Jones with pet frog

What exactly did they deliver ?

I dont know what others think but i dont believe those people on the video actually play the game …

Also I paid for D4 — NEW GAME

All we get is Copy+paste from previous diablo titles …. Or previous seasons …

The problem is the game is just NOT FUN TO PLAY…. İt is like a chore …

Nah …. This is not interesting enough to bring me back from POE2
(New player to franchise btw not an old poe fan)

D4 is a fun game without purpose.

That’s how I would sum up D4, if you don’t have much time to game then D4 is a good game for you but for players where gaming is a hobby then purpose actually matters.

eg. Why am I grinding for better gear when I can already faceroll T4 content? What
purpose does getting better gear serve?

Regarding PoE2, I wouldn’t touch it until full release or you also sinking time into something that will require plenty changes and all your efforts will be reset on full release. The only benefit will be game knowledge so on full release you can get to end game quicker then others experiencing the game for the first time.

So… what are you playing at the moment?

What i like about S7 announcement:

  • raven pet (would be really awesome if it picks up everything… even YOU!!!)
  • armory (hopefully we have more than 1 OP class/build we can use to at least farm pit lvl 100 in a moderate speed)

what i dont like:

  • rogues could use a UNIQUE X-BOW (gnihihihihi i said it again). We heard you. Here you have new pair of shoes. :see_no_evil:
  • players: we dont want more horse mounts. devs: We listened to you. Here you have a “snake mount” wrapped over the horse base

It’s a Drakolic from DA: Inquisition. Or how ever those dragon like mounts were called. The children of Donkey and Dragon from Shrek, but without wings.

Cyberpunk 2077, purchased it two years ago but never got around to playing it. Will blast D3 next week Friday for about 2 weeks. Great season theme and missing the progress systems d3 has.

“Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random.”

Filthy casual did a vid a few days ago if you want to find out more. Title below.

Diablo 3 Season 34 will be SUPER FUN

Enough with the broken builds. Every time they do a survey, all I type is the word ‘bugs’. I’m beyond tired of the gamebreaking bugs.

They need to find a real glyph solution. Whatever their idea for our target power level is, glyphs need to fit under that. Anything past that can be aspirational. They can do it a lot of different ways. Doesn’t have to be doing Pit 100+.

Because the gap between Pit 100+ and T4 is so massive, you don’t even need the glyphs to do anything but level your glyphs. Unless you’re pushing a leaderboard, that doesn’t officially exist, it’s all just circular logic.

100% accurate, it’s the same with gear, no reasons to chase good gear. Once your setup clears t4 at a good rate you can move onto trying another spec/class etc.

Spiritborn was an exception this season for people who didn’t clear pit 150 before with lightning sorc in a previous season, so it was worth spending time on it to get some moderately decent gear to clear it.

Next season… unless a bugged build is found, clearing pit 150 wont be easy and no incentive to do so if you already have the achievement/title.

I don’t think it’s designed to be possible without bugs. At the high end of Pit pushing the season powers will be fairly negligible.

S7? You mean S2: Purple edition

Jokes aside, at least, S2 was fun, that season insert the functionality of the hell tides you see now and some good uniques. The second good season is the 6 with Infernal Hordes, they provide better loot than now from my experience.

The bad part, they are recycling, again, content. Do you remember season 2 campfire? They had the audacity to say they gonna “introduce” new monster models, and they just paint red every actual monster model… Now, they are painting purple lmao

Diablo 4 is the new video game to milk for Blizzard, rip Overwatch

Milk Milk lemonade 'round the back cookbooks are made.

Cyberpunk has always seemed such a chad game to me but I know a lot of peeps who love it. Maybe I should get over my stuff and consider playing it. Thanks for answering the question.

Hmmm you tempt me but I think I’ll stay with the current iteration of Diablo. I play 2 other ARPGs as well plus trying to get non-arpg games in between seasons.

I saw someone in a post the other day begging for shorter seasons. Umm and UGH, NO. Where would I fit in my non-arpg game time in?

Give it a go. In my eyes, no matter what the big games fans say, GD is a true successor to D2. If you played Titan Quest and are familiar with it’s skill/class system, you will love GD dual mastery system as ex-TQ devs made GD. But better itemisation, lots of freedom, leveling and endgame target farming, fun skill combinations. The entry level is low but the celing is high. Though you should maybe wait unti it’s new expac comes out this year. Graphics are dated, but it realy dosen’t takes away from the awsome gameplay experience.

Its basically the same as Season 2 with some steroids.

You’re the devil!

I haven’t played that one yet but have been considering it.

How would you define “end game” ? is it near end of the game or after you finished it ? -meaning you achieved maximum level/ found items to beat the game ?

We need to define “game” first …in D2 it was campaign… when you killed Baal on hell you could stayed in but for what ? You were grinding other items because pre-patch 1.12( I think), there was fixed skill point system, therefore creating a new character was fun, it meant replayability, you kept items/runes you found found for your another character.
But even that has to end sometimes, so they introduced seasons.
Thats why D2 lasted for sooo long. Even tho game itself was kinda short it was popular for years!
What is game in D3/D4 ? Is it campaign ? Not anymore, most ppl finish it once, because Blizzard allows you to skip it striaght to adventure mode/open world.
That is a huge difference. Also free reskilling IS the main issue. Do you recall when D4 released how devs said reskilling will be expensive and almost foolish to do on high levels? They tried to increase replayability, but loud players cried a lot! So they backed up.

Soo GAME now is actually GR/PIT and farming …for…, for what ? Not your other chars, not your second or third or tenth barbarian…you need only one nowdays. This is why, you start season , make all your chars superfast, equip them super fast, blast the mobs superfast…it feels boring soon right ? Almost like cheating.
What would you wanna do then in your “end” GAME. Special mode? IT wont help no matter how many different dungeons or PITs you add, IF the leveling and itemization process is broken. game will became boring very fast. Its easy as that IMHO.
