Runes dont even fit in inventory and yet they create even more!

No. I wholly disagree.

The devs havd already said they wanted to give us more but they just cant as it requird a significant change to the code. (Btw same thing happened in d3).

D3 had the exact same problem. We started off with 3 then got to 13 stash tabs.

And you know what? they(d3 devs) wanted to give us more but couldnt. They were going to give us another 2 to 5 stash tabs but literally could not.

The workaround was giving the templar sorc and scoundrel expanded slots and give more potential area to store gear.

To be clear, you would be generally right if we had enough reasonable space to play this game, fully - in the sense the game must cover the play styles for majority people it is designed for.

We just don’t have enough space for people who play 1) around 3 or more classes, some people find a problem on class 3 or four - depend on 2) how many builds they play per class 3) if they are eternal and 4) if they are hardcore.

The game must account for these players.

There are minimalists and there are pathological horders - I am not talking about these players.

If you take the S and A builds for all classes and figure out the gear load, you’d find out we are severely under stashed lol. This is EASILY calculatable and verified. With the design decision going to armory - need to really understand the design direction - which is why stash needs to / must be expanded.

If they added more character slots in lieu of stash, I would have been fine with that as I understand from D2 players that having specific builds were the way to go; however to enforce this, respec cost needs to be high enough to consider rerolling and releveling/reglyphing a character AND most importantly stable builds. Builds are often destroyed season to season from their “fixes”.

Also, since builds and classes are always getting tweaked, certain things should naturally be kept like 4 ga uniques that are useless now, may be important next season for eternal players.

The devs feel stash is a pay 2 win scenario for diablo from a design standpoint at least in D3 that is whatn wyatt said, so they do tightly control how much is available; however what we have now is a frank travesty.
