Runes and Runewords are the biggest failure of this expansion

I would say some devs are to blame for sure. Definitely the suits. The higher ups are definitely not gamers. And thats why D1 and D2 are amazing games. Blizzard North were most likely gamers themselves. Blizzard nowadays is all about ripping people off and not listening to the fans.

I bet your Moms Meatloaf is more of a failure.

Meatloaf is still better than D4. Hell Mcdonalds is better than D4.

This is just a gemstone called Rune.
What makes players lose interest?
The core issue is that Blizzard’s designers do not play games. They don’t know what players expect.
They are just imagining and then doing it.

and yet you cant move on, since January. seems like theres a lot of passion you got there for d4.

I was hoping for more but overall still looks really good

agree, i was hoping for a more intricate system, but its good right now as it is and it can be build more stuff upon it.

They should make them stronger and allow us to socket white items from 2-6 sockets
And in the white items you can place runewords.

An example could be the runeword Call to Arms in a 2 handed weapon:
Requires Amn Ral Mal Ist Ohm Runes.
If you place them in that order you will now have a white item called “Call to Arms” and add all the rune effects with one special effect, in this case a new ability like “Battle Cry”.

I couldn’t make up a better runeword so fast but this is how I would have made the runeword system. In that way we make white items more valueable and people pick them up to check if the white items are good or bad bases depending on if they have an extra stat on them.

I never played Diablo 2 but I assume it worked kind of simular. Don’t judge on the example “Call to Arms” above, I made that up real quick to make an example of what I mean.

But then again that might just be me. It’s just an idea of how I would have made this system a bit better.

Do you ever have anything constructive to say? Anything at all that remotely contributes to a conversation? Any coherent thought about what you don’t like and how you think it could be better? Or is saying other people suck the only thing you are capable of?

The seething opals from the realmwalker thing is the biggest fail imo. 15% xp potion? That makes it mandatory. The proper way to look at this is if you aren’t doing that, you get an xp debuff. Plus it has a 30 minute timer. So we’re doing timers now.

like bro, I just wanna farm pindle and get a griphons.

you can literally do that, in d2, and d2r.

Yes, I’d like a sequel one day as that game is a bit dated. The mechanics are great tho.

i like the d2r graphics to be honest ^^ but i also feel like d2 doesnt really fit into todays time anymore.

Regardless, there’s nothing wrong with farming an enemy that can drop great gear. And there’s no prerequisite nonsense you need to do to farm him. You can just go do it. This dynamic fits today just fine.

i mean you know, i wont disagree with you there. but d4 isnt that game.

Yes, I’m just saying it would benefit from being that game. This is just a personal opinion. Others would hate that, yes.

absolutely with you, id love more d2, and less d3. i just know that d4 wont be that game. i had to readjust my expectation for d4. i like it for what it is.

Yeah I loved killing pindle 500 times before school started when I was 7.

My best memory was finally finding a JMOD in CS after 5 CS runs but then my teacher woke me up.

I miss the good old high school days when all the girls my age cheering for me after summer vacation when I fully maxed out my fire ball pvp sorc. Man I was the coolest dude in school

Yeah, I understand liking it for what it is. It has a lot of good qualities, but I think it’s getting too prerequisity and theme parky for my tastes. So I’m just going to post about how that should be rolled back a bit.
