He did have previous experience before. He was one the main reasons why Gears of War the trilogy was so good.

I know a guy in D3 who now works on Diablo Immortal he is always at the top of every leader board no matter what class he plays. This is in a game that has been overrun with cheaters. He does his own thing and always comes out on top. He would rather be attacking the leader boards instead of crying on forums.

Yes and I’m sure he was hired because of that, and I certainly hope he’s using his experience that he’s gained with working in the industry to help shift Diablo 4 into being a good game.
But apparently he believes experience is meaningless and a hobo off the street can do a better job than him.
And I’m starting to think perhaps that is the case.

Yeah what was left of the Gears of War community. Gears is about as dead as Halo is for the same reasons. Has to do with Microsoft more so than what was left of Epic Games that formed the Coalition. Anyway I said one of Cliff B played a big part as well.
As soon as he left Gears the devs praised the new leadership for allowing them to do what the community was practically begging for.
The timing being so close after he left points to him probably being the problem. Being completely out of touch with the community was the biggest complaint Gears fans had and it seems to be the biggest one now for Diablo and the game’s not even out yet.
You mean the dedicated few that played the game despite all of its problems because of the love for the franchise? The ones that stuck with the game through thick and thin?
You realize bad decision making by the producers meant a ton of people probably just quit the game and never looked back, while a dedicated few pushed for change only for it to fall on deaf ears.
Dedicated? Gears 5 plays nothing like Gears 3 which arguably was the best one in multiplayer and gun play.
That always is a possibility with AAA games. Any game no matter the previous installments can end up like Anthem or Mass Effect Andromeda. Halo as well has gone through similar turmoil.

They are already Diablo franchise veterans that got to experience the new content and practice exactly how to react to every move that each boss does…repeatedly.
And having even more people that had even more time to do that during closed beta means this is already scuffed and out of 1000 spots even more are guaranteed to go to ppl that got lucky (with closed beta access) or that got early review access.
What? They did not review an abridged version rofl (unless I missed something), no one does that. They just can’t post reviews with spoilers (but that’s a rule exactly because they
saw those spoilers, aka everything).
Also, it’s 100 people that will instantly post all knowledge 1h after they are allowed to on maxroll. AND it’s 100 ppl with dozens of qualified “friends” each and communities that are happy to trade them items.

He was game director for a ‘little’ while (and not by himself). Now he is franchise manager.

I’ll probably be the world first …something else that I’m doing by myself and probably for myself (since chances I’ll stream it have gone down by 80% and weren’t great to begin with).

It’s the same people in WoW who complain they’re not within gladiator rating in arena simply because the horde has better racials and they’re alliance
Or Terran players who think they’re not grand master because imba Zergs get injects
Or MOBA players who think there’s a forced 50% winrate and the only reason they lose any game is because of their teammates
They don’t understand either, so no worries
These people just want anything and everything to complain about. Makes me wonder how they accomplish anything in life when they make such big deals out of insignificant things. The whole lot of them have a mental disorder that needs to be treated.

Unless people live under a rock - there have been 3 BIG PR fails by Blizz in the last few days.
Currently - the 1k 100 Race is the worst.
Yes it’s worse than, if you can believe it:
“Answering Questions from(mostly) imaginary players(people)”
AND worse than:
“Support Streamers that don’t stream, never streamed Diablo content or barely ever did or have been idle for years.”
Would YOU want your “Fresh Huge launch” to go this way?
This sets a bad precedent especially with many many people having watched D:I become PTW and expecting it here.
It’s just BAD PR and consumer lack of faith-o-meter in Blizz is not being helped by any of this.
People may overreact but they’re not grasping at straws SEEKING drama.
