I put some more armor on my guy. It is 12,195 standing in town. Plus, I got a 1.1 disobedience in there too. So I got bonus on my necklace, hat and chest. I do have a shako but a crafted helm has awesome stats if you don’t need the +4s. Im mostly summoner so that doesnt help me much. I think i saw it spike up to 16k something in combat. Is it overkill? Maybe, but quality of life is huge. I can go from running super speedy whisper quests to a NM85 and not change anything. Same speed almost. NM86 for fun:
Long story short: You can specc your character to survive just about anything. It just may take a few seconds later to kill stuff. It’s not a huge sacrifice to make sure your defense won’t be the problem.
yeah I’ve done this. I have 13,280 resting armor (plus disobedience in T100).
I can clear most T100 without issue, Im just worried about AoZ and definitely want to participate without getting insta popped by a minion. def gonna tune into the campfire chat to figure out if Im panicking over nothing.
I hope the new glyph works TOO well with pets. We are due for a game breaking bug in our favor, right?
AoZ will be interesting. In the end a 2H grandfather, overpower, bonespear/pet hybrid will probably win
How much Lucky hit? I run a +3 hewed flesh Black River and my CE is about 53% lucky hit. I run full scyth skellies and even the golem corpse generation aspect, I am not by any means drowning in corpses… esp at the start.
do you run army of the dead? that is almost exclusively my main corpse generator. that stacks corpses so much, and then once you start killing well now you have double that.
Well, you lose a bit of cast-time for lobbing spears without the auto-CT. This loss probably isn’t major. I can’t imagine it’s more than a cast on Bspear. Mobs don’t generally hold up for very long after getting grabbed by CT.
Flesh Eater may be more relevant. I’m pretty sure the buff refreshes it’s duration from consumes while it’s active when you’re in combat. Outside combat it requires a full 5 stack to re-trigger. Combat takes a second or two to officially end after you kill all the things on screen. So Sac Soul tends to refresh it as you’re moving to another pull. It’s possible your Flesh Eater buff is dropping off between pulls without it.
It unquestionably takes a bit of an adjustment after cutting the ring out.
Eh, for some reason I think AoZ is getting hyped. Yeah, yeah, it’s super duper hard and impossible. We’ll see.

If these whiny folks can’t realize it’s potential it is on them.
All I cast now is two curses, my iron golem, and tendril.
Other spells cast themselves, keep my minions buffed, keep the ground covered in miasma, and a nice tendril pop to suck enemies to a vortex.
I equipped it and felt immediately more potent, and I’m just hitting lvl 60 on my hc necro.

I am happy with ring mechanic and specifically with effect. It’s replacement of previous season malignant heart for auto summoning fallen pets and allow you keep grasping vein effects permanently. Since I am using pets as “shield”/decoy and not for the damage I love it. Yes, loosing 7.5% critical chance bites but getting “perfect” ring with something like 7.5% chance, 1139 life, 12.5 lucky hit and say +vulnerable damage or crit damage with bone not easy task :). This ring along make hybrid built (with pets decoys) really worth while
They should Just Change the +2-3 corpse affix for crit Chance…would help more builds than those corpse Skills affix. But the real elephant in the room is- all the Ring does should be achieved Baseline via Paragon. Instead they should have given necro, Bring the weakest class rn, Barber to compensate for the mess the class is…would obviously Help all builds, Minions included
I’m still struggling to see how the ring sucks. It frees up so many key presses for other abilities. And it perfectly spreads out your corpse consumption to keep flesh eater up as much as possible.
I’m finding it hard not to use the ring. I paired it with the lucky hit chance to gain essence when hitting a vulnerable target and it’s chefs kiss.
Even with Mendeln’s and a summoner build it’s noice.
