Rhykkers End Game review

They are subjective. I love d4s character skill animations. I like some death animations, like how the necro rots away an enemy. What I dont like is the death and destruction that is left behind. No blood, no pile of bodies. HDR capability isnt even tested in a game that is suppose to be dark. D2r uses it and well. You should see a fire roaring through the night. A big fire snake should almost be blinding.

The dungeons have really good artwork on the pillars and details in the foreground that most havent seen yet. Those are done well. But then you walk through the world and the trees are barely taller than the character, the trunks are about the size of the druids leg. The world is void of anything memorable. A landscape that makes you just pause. No leorics manner, no sigon’s tower. There are piles of bones on the ground, in d2 you can see vines growing through them, bugs skittering. This game looks rushed. Some designs are excellent, others not so great.

The more you look at the game, you wonder, why did it take 10 years? It’s like 8 years of concept, 2 years of execution using the laziest way every time.

There is so many inteeresting things with D4

Player Scaling - Can always group with friends, no matter if they play harder or faster than you

Mounts - Enable fast traveling

World events frequency, and dungeons availability, for currency, and gearing up as it goes

Flexibility of customization as it goes , with extractable aspects, and unlockable ones thru dongeons, which allows you to forge power on any of your gear

Huge map, with a lot of renown unlocks to unlock extra Skill points

Lilitth’s altars who are findable and unlock plenty of permanent boosters

Consummable of different types, that can be used differently depending on situations

Variety of gems, to be seen really, I did’nt get much time to compare time in the previous beta, but will look more into them, to see what i will want from them

Bastions/Strongholds , Which were pretty interesting, and not always success , in the previous beta, we did’nt fully completed the NW one ( cant remember the name ) best we did was 2/3 for the ultimate boss to appear =o

Then, Capstone dungeons, and the many things, that we have not reached, due to limitation to level 25 =o

There’s plenty of things in D4

Rhykkers use of the word ā€œUberā€ is an absolute joke.

It will not be an ā€œ:UBERā€ Boss in the helltide, Just a slightly stronger boss than usual, much weaker than a world boss.

The guy must have never played a game with Uber bosses before. He doesn’t even understand a simple concept yet he is the one that is invited to give the devs feedback.

Because there’s 0 pushback with him, its the safe option for them.

Or maybe he was trying to hint at who those bosses were without spoiling it?

They do need more memorable landmarks, it would make learning your way around even on a mount faster if you aren’t skip teleporting everywhere, after seeing the whole map I would say only 1 or 2 places like Caldeum are memorable the rest just blends into the background.

I have seen them they are tough, but I don’t know what to compare them against for an uber measuring stick? Because well ubers in D3 which are all I have seen are a joke.

Not world boss tough but I would say 6 people tough.

In reality Ubers in D2 were pushovers as well. The actual measuring stick would be Ubers in PoE tbh. They perfected what the ideas they took from D2. You have to have a pretty good boss killing build to reasonably take them out.

Let me spoil it then ,
Uber boss in Helltides looks like a giant fly and he farts some black smokes around u, pretty tough to kill on lower level but easier as u get closer to level 100 , I forgot his name.

Uber boss in FOH is Khazra the Abomination, he looks like a giant goat , pretty easy to kill once u master his staggered skill
