Kinda makes you wonder how the game’s even rated M. Is the level of violence/gore depicted in the game really worthy of that rating these days? The ESRB didn’t even see fit to tag on ‘sexual themes’ because even they saw that there’s absolutely nothing here in that regard. But even aside from that, everything feels so restrained and ‘careful’ that I’m surprised it still managed to receive an M rating.
As far as the title being removed, I’m not a fan of it because of the subtext. Predator is a word that has more than one meaning, and in the context of Diablo that meaning is not a cause for concern. Of course it’s Blizzard’s product and they can do whatever they want with it, but in this case I would’ve preferred to have never had the title in-game in the first place than to see it be removed.
