Same. 3080ti, capped 60fps fore, 8 back, fans/gpu light up for merchants/inventory.
Really makes it hard to theory-craft between what you have and what dropped. I want to analyze it while staring at the screen. I guess this game is going to force me to screenshot the open items one at a time and look at them offline? How⌠90s.
My max. FPS are usually ~60-80.
guys please!!! if u have a mid-high end PC ⌠GO FOR THE 240hzâŚ
Is really stupid having those pcs and 144hz monitors
I actually lose FPS when the inventory or map is open.
GPUs simply donât fry themselves on one outlier of a game due to sheer hardware issue. Itâs not a thing.
Blizzard recognizes this, and thatâs why the Blue Post, while dodgy, doesnât say âlmao get over it ur hardware sucksâ and instead shows that theyâre looking to fix the problem being caused. Theyâre just covering their rear because ultimately, your hardware does have failsafes to protect it. It protecting itself does not alleviate the underlying issue, here.
im still having this problem, capped my 3070 to 60 fps and it is still happening.
I have it caped at 60.
I barely notice a difference between 60 and 120 any way
For me it depends.
60 on console can look really smooth just because a TV will apply motion/frame interpolation to smooth it out. Also things like motion blur and VRR can really smooth it out.
I find 60 FPS on PC to look a lot more rough and stick out like a sore thumb even with G-Sync with certain games. I capped my FPS to 60 FPS in D4(not because I had to was just testing it out) and I couldnât stand it for more than a few minutes.
If you run Nvidia RTX series card try turning off Low Latency Mode off in the GFX settings.
The default setting has it on. My temps just used to run up to 70+ degrees just standing doing nothing on Kyovashad. RTX 2070 super. It was confusing as hell.
When I turned the setting off I saw no gfx or performance difference and it dropped my GPU temp CONSIDERABLY and the temp changes under load are more stable. Around 35 idle, 48 under load. Much better. Doesnât spike anymore either.
Something to try if you havenât tried it already.
Lol, this is an issue with the hardware not doing itâs job due to manufacture fault. But feel free to believe what you want.
Lol. Not at all
20 charrsssss
Lol at blues post âthis is an isolated issue.â
Look at all the people complaining across forums and reddit about the ridiculous fan spin up on inventory screens.
No so isolated.
You know what. Thatâs fine. Time will tell.
Thatâs not what this is about. Itâs true that a properly configured and cooled system without a buildup of dust should be able to tolerate an extended 100% workload without failure, but itâs also ridiculous that a passive vendor window is consuming nearly twice as much GPU power as a chaotic dungeon boss battle. They should implement some kind of internal FPS limiter on the vendor NPC panes.
There is no logical reason why a vendor should draw 2x power.
My 4090 GPU goes from 120W~ in game to 312W just interacting with vendors.
GPU Usage is roughly the same, however the game is causing massive power draw for no reason.
This is pretty insane that this game draws more power when interacting with vendors for me than Cyberpunk 2077 with RT Overdrive mode.
What a joke of a coding issue there. Something is obviously being rendered in that npc window to some insane drawcalls.
Also note that higher end PCs are worse off which is really odd. Its real fun when people that donât have a clue talk about how their potato runs it just fine and you donât know how to use your computer.
I should not have to monitor my system heat running an ARPG on mid to low settings. It should never be an issue. It is not an issue in any other game but here we are with âyou must have dust in your 4 month old PC in a dedicated PC room with no dust.â
This is not working correctly.
3080-Spins up terribly in town. immobile. Not interacting with anything.
Huh⌠I donât have any issues with a 4070 so kind of surprised to hear a 4090 having issues.
