If that’s provably true, or the documented mechanic, it’s more than enough to make me quit the game (again). I only came back a couple of weeks ago because of all the reporting on how S4 fixed a lot of the initial problems. Even the accusation of this being how it works is a pathetic show for the dev team, it makes me sad.
Regardless, to the devs: Chase gear and gambling are not the same thing. If you’re going to provide a player mechanic for gear improvement, it should be fair: even chance to roll an affix from the pool, and then even chance to roll a value from the affix range.
