balance in game always matter, pvp or not.
Otherwise , if only one class is always at the top, the other classes won’t be played much
and actually even you , yourself will feel less inclined to play them
eitherway : a game should have a balance between characters and each builds should be rather balanced so that every build should be worth it and not merely 1 build per class (which reduce drastically the longevity of the game for many)

Playing a druid this season feels like playing the game underwater. Everything is slow. You feel permanently debilitated from lvl 1 through end game.
Although s4 taught me i need to go back into hibernation as the game is still bad. But at least the barb made it feel the best!
The power disparity is just comically uneven.

They will bring all classes up to the barbarian level.
This is blizzards declared goal for the balancing.
They tried with the minion necromancers… and this was not enough.
So we will see how they improve further.
From a recent interview I read, it’s the arsenal system that is giving the devs a hard time balancing the barb. It’s one of those mechanics that sounded awesome on paper during development, and the power scaling most likely flew under the radar for a while.

My Druid was by the Blacksmith in Kyovashad yesterday having some repairs done. All of a sudden, he got surrounded by an army of muscular guys with weapons floating on their back. Was kind of scary. He quickly left.

u mean the concerns from alpha to beta ppl had with it was just ignored. Its cool, so we need it.
Remember WoW, they thought its cool palas and Shamans have extra slots for stats/utility. Guess what happened after a few years, they removed it cause balancing it was more hassle then its worth. D4 devs should just taken a look at wow, but no everything needs to be experienced new, even the most reatarded qol states gamin had 10-20 years ago. The consumer sure wants all that trash back right? so they can finally say again we added great features by removing that crap again.

Right, but all they have to do is just tweak the other class’ unique mechanics to match the arsenal system.
Buff the hell out of Druid boons.
Buff the hell out of Sorc enchantments and give them back that third slot.
Buff the hell out of every Rogue system.
Buff the hell out of the Book of the Dead.
