Yeah i mean if they wanna hard lock us down give us 3 profiles per character… respeccing when you find decent gear is a pain in the azs!!!
They already dont give a crap you can respec mid combat… its not even tied to a vendor… its all just their to slow the player down which is so stupid in a single player game…

The 40% cost reduction was a fair compromise imo.
Especially considering their stance during the beta of “you’re better off rerolling then trying to afford a complete respec at cap”.
I think removing cost for respecting skill should be a thing yes i see people saying people will change there build for certain scenario which is true but they would also need to have the gear on them with the right aspect and also need to reset there paragon board to make the new build they resets work 
so with that much time and effort needed skill reset cost doesn’t seem that bad to remove

So a respec every 10 minutes is fine? Well why not put in a 10 minute respec cooldown down then, since they seem to love their cool downs in this game.
you can play a full out cd reduction build on any class if you want to.
im glad we agree tho, that this suggestion is rather uninteresisting for 95% of the players.
You grossly under estimate how lazy I am. And I mean what content do you really need to change builds for? You’ll have one build to do nightmare dungeons and maybe tweak it a bit if you wanted to do an uber lilith and those are the only two builds you need.
It’s very clear that the respec item you get from completing the season pass was intended to be a cash shop item. There’s also one intended to go into the enchanting screen, which is why the gold price is wack.
This game was very clearly designed to monetize from its very inception. The backlash to Immortal forced them to pivot, but they left all of the awful “didn’t pay for convenience” taxes in place. Amateurs.

Then why have respecs at all
Both WoW and D3 turned into games that don’t “start” until max level. So it makes sense there. D4 is not a game that start at max level. Its more about the journey to max level. The RPG aspect of making choices is relevant here. Free respec is saying that you don’t want any consequences to decisions.

Respeccing skills & paragon should be 100% no cost to allow freedom to play, experiment and have fun.
I’m fine with the current costs to modify & upgrade gear.
There should be no respec cost; there was no cost in Diablo 3 for skills or paragons. Just get rid of it altogether, imo.
Not even remotely fine no. A free respec each week at most, that could be okay.
D4 is worse. D4 doesn’t start until WT4.
But how will they sell the inevitable ‘pay for convenience’ cash shop alternative if they remove costs?
