These things happen. Don’t forget that these rapid changes were done under the duress of players. If they had their time to do it without being hounded and threatened on an hourly basis this would also have easily been avoided. Its not just a ‘company’ there a loads of people who actually want to deliver what we want, or some in cases what they want
Friendly reminder to everyone out there: This post and people like OP are the reason you NEVER DIVULGE if you won the lottery (if you don’t have to).
There are people that simply want you to lose because they weren’t able to win.
Heh, this analogy make me smirk. It’s a pretty good one!
Dont get OP wrong they got a winning ticket and tore it up
I would be sympathetic for them but they had 10 years to develop this game. They also had a end game beta test that a lot of the issues people are complaining about were brought up.
For example the blatant ww bracers that had no cap on the damage it could stack up while you ww until you stop. Many people said they are broken and need adjusted. What did they do wait 2 days till after releasing game to nerf 1000s of peoples builds with ww because they didn’t want to listen to what people told them repeatedly.
Friendly reminder to everyone out there also: This guys post and ones like it are the reason “see something say something” was invented and implemented in schools nation wide.
The simple fact that you want to “hide” something shows you are guilty of something wrong. People that need to “hide” that they won the lottery probably did something that would be considered cheating and they only want to keep their names hidden so they don’t get found out and are able to keep the money they wrongfully stole.
Funny thing is with that theory is the negative lasting effect is much larger than the gain. They are losing a lot of the player base support based off their decision making regarding this fiasco. Thousands of people are uninstalling or quitting in droves. But it’s cool. As long as the “140” (its a lie) accounts are happy.
You make a fair point, but 10 years might not be as much time as it sounds like.
The amount of work that goes into a modern AAA game is insane. Plus you’re dealing with all the red-tape managerial nonsense present in any big company.
Someone else said it best. The people we’re annoyed with are managerial level, by and large. It’s not the devs in the trench.
Blizzard will do nothing.
Sorry you wasted your time.
This horse has been beaten, shot, rode to death, from mars and back.
They will not delete the item or roll back server. The item will stay as is.
So far, it appears a handful of people are pissed and care about it, and the majority of players believe this will have zero impact on their gaming experience or their diablo experience.
Did I miss anything else?
100% true they choose to keep 142 players over 1000s of others they would have most likely made more money off of in their shops. I hope those 142 people are Diablo Immortal Whales and buy every item off the shop to help support this game. When the rest leave after months and only 2 more uber uniques are found and people start to fully realize the 142 free ones were just a huge slap in the face to legit players that put in hundreds of hours farming for the items.
Yummy imagine a server rollback, all those things you got, changed and rolled for all poof,
Would love to see where you’re getting the data that thousands of people uninstalled. Curious to know if you believe if these users are uninstaling because of an arbitrary item in the eternal realm, what is the likelihood of them actually spending money on cosmetics?
Yea there is a lot of red tape, thing is this game was suppose to be a PC first game. Yet because they wanted to make the game super casual for their beloved couch co-op we have to wait weeks for Microsoft & Playstation to approve changes to the game that takes weeks to get.
We would be 100x farther in development of the game & less problems if it was a PC only game. They stretched their resources to thin to test everything then when it came to launch the just pushed it out like a hot steamy turd and hoped that it will flush.
My guy, just read the forums. Lmao. Look at the responses on discord servers. The population is dropping. Hell, even twitch numbers are way down. You don’t gotta be a genius to read the room. The majority of people that play this game are furious and it’s not just gonna go away on its own. We all paid 70-100$ for an unfinished product and the problems are consistently mounting more and more.
Its all over social media accounts man. Honestly I would love for blizzard to show the player numbers for people that played on July 5th till the update on July 6th. Then show the number of players on both July 7th and July 8th. I bet you money if they did you would see the thousands leaving because of this unfair response to a major issue.
Like I said, please provide tangible data rather than “trust me bro” news.
I see zero complaints about uber unique drops on twitter on any of Blizzard’s page, so again, please provide tangible data other than the handful of whiners on the forum.
I’m not being condescending. I’m just stating that this is probably the most toxic forum I’ve ever seen, so using this to make your case is probably not statistically significant.
Nobody is complaining about these uber unique drops on Rod Ferguson, Blizzard NA, Diablo, or Adam Fletcher’s twitter, and they handle all the communications out to players there in real-time.
They don’t have to roll anything back. They can simply delete the items, they did the SQL query to find the players that got them they can now use that same SQL query to delete all 142 of the items. It is not that hard there is nothing stopping them from doing this other than them being hard headed.
You know. When I see people posting about this issue and the people on the other side say stuff like “BuT iTs EtErNaL rEaLm” like it’s supposed to be some kind of “gotcha” moment is ridiculous.
Where do you think your seasonal characters are going when the season finishes? That’s right, eternal realm.
And the funniest part is, they won’t even be bringing the gems back with them. They will have to respec all of their paragon points and even probably skills again because their character was built around the seasonal only item xD
They won’t do it because it was some kind of deal. I do not understand the subtleties, but the fact that it was planned is for sure. At that time, I also (accidentally) went to the event, I just needed to get a couple of things at a higher level. The funny thing is that half of the boxes (2 out of 4) didn’t drop anything at all. I mean nothing at all.
Nobody is going to go every social media post, post by post, to find each and every one to give you some “tangible” evidence that you can clearly see happening if you arnt under a rock looking out at the world for the first time.
