Already made a post in the bug report forums, but figured I’d make another one here so hopefully it gets seen.
Reap does not benefit from any attack speed increases. The only thing it gets attack speed from is the base attack speed of your weapon.
This needs to be fixed before Season 2 start.
@pezradar
Why do you need the basic ability tho ?
I’m constantly top of resources.
I mean, I’m not? Also I’m lvl 48 on a necro I made.
Playing Sever Necro, and I’d be willing to guarantee that even at lvl 100, I’d still have resource issues.
And when the malignant heart goes away that auto casts corpse skills, your resources will take a hit next season.
Also it’s a bug that needs to be fixed and has been somehow ignored for 7 months despite tons of reports about it???
You’re exactly right.
This makes reap almost worthless and there is no reason someone should discount the point for any reason.
I just switched out of it. It only seems to gain from its own speed enhancement.
I can’t keep resources up vs single target with this skill as my primary.
I feel like I wrote this sentence, I could go on an absolute tangent about how awfully resources are managed in this game but I’ll just withhold that for another post elsewhere.
You really should not worry too much about what skills you are using until like 65-70
It does not matter until you have proper Gear/boards
I’m level 92. I don’t think it matters what level you are.
Being able to swing faster, by happenstance, improves resource generation. This bug does not concern resource generation and is not negated by level or gear.
“This post is in regards to a bug with Reap swing speed that has been a known issue for 7 months.”
Well since this is an ARPG with an emphasis on RPG, I have a certain aesthetic and theme I’m trying to build around. Reap just so happens to be that thematic, and its bugged.
Not sure why you’re trying to downplay an actual bug that just lowers the amount of usable skills.
I just use reap for more corpses until a certain level.
Attack speed is not really that needed, Once you get up in the levels your reaper skeletons will create enough corpses and with the resource gen talent when corpses are used eventually you won’t need the resource gen from a basic ability.
Not to mention that… You don’t need resources at all if you just run Minion & corpse explosion.
Bone spear also have ways to generate resource automatically.
Same with with like a blight or sever build, if you run reaper minions, Your Corpse explosion will be the regen ability.
Unless you run something besides spear without minions, then your resource gain will suffer.
I’m just saying, You worry about something that does not matter and is pretty pointless unless you are very early game.
Just play and you’ll out level this issue very soon.
If you really need attack speed just use the corpse explosion unique gloves.
The point is, that is not working correctly. End of point.
Someone should have reap work properly if they want to use it for whatever reason.
Besides, there is a reason you might want to use reap. The inherit damge reduction, which is improved further with Aspect of Might.
I’ve played necro to 100, my build used reap, my build also had 114%+ increased attack speed.
Reap being bugged is annoying. It should be a net gain to use on 3+ enemies, not 6+. Not to mention hitting it for a corpse or the DR buff being twice as slow as it should be.
Odd.
Aight, Let’s end point then.
Luckily, I dont wan’t to use corpse explosion, and im sacrificing all minions, so here we are with resource issues.
Hopefully the bug gets fixed asap
the bug is still present and it seems like the coming 1.2.2 is not gonna include it.
i have quite a few build ideas involving swinging Reap rapidly. hope the bug will be fixed soon
Its not gonna get fixed. The techology doesn’t exist
It only gets development if it makes money.
Battle pass: development
expansion: development
Making sure abilities do what they say: lol our customers will buy anything who cares.
Someone please fix this. It’s absurdly stupid, my build is kind of reliant on Reap buffs.
