Realy strange end game

I miss the days where endgame meant end of game. Now people need an endless grind for some stupid reason.

Mediocre release according to who? The people publicly crying about it? Got any numbers?

According to me, obviously.

It was nice to chat but I can see now that you’re actually going out of your way to get into arguments online cause it gives your tiny little brain some dopamine. I won’t engage further. Have a great day

If you can’t handle the heat don’t passive aggressively call other people entitled brats and then pearl clutch when they don’t respect you. You can go now.

Story line & lore is the main draw of the game pre-seasons as it should be. They put a massive amount of time creating a world that has plenty of room to grow as seasons are released.

The end game grind is min-maxing gear just like it always has been for Diablo games and similar ARPG’s. I suspect there isn’t a single person in game right now with 820 items in every slot and 100% perfect affix rolls with maxxed 100% affix values. That’s even excluding the ultra giga-chad super unique chase items (Shako/Grandfather/Etc) most players will never see.

When the gear grind gets boring experiment with a new character or new build. When that doesn’t sound like fun, wait for seasons to add new achievements and cosmetics and come back to the game :man_shrugging:

I mean…compared to a lot of other big live service games, this launch is quite decent…
Still not good enough, but better than what the industry got us used to the last few years…

People like you are really annoying. D3 people played forever.

Thats cool, Blizzard said they didnt want D4 to be like that.

I wear a mask when i play D4 because i care about everyones continued enjoyment of this 10/10 game

Yeah and how did D3 turn out? oh its launch was a dumpster fire and 90+% of the players quit.

They said that as a marketing tactic because they are incapable of designing and developing a game with replay ability. It was not because they had some grand creative vision. Quite the opposite.

They designed D3 which people played forever.

Having played both D2 and D3, and poe, I was accustomed to receiving rewards even after reaching the maximum level. It’s perplexing to me how things have changed in this game. I’m genuinely baffled by the lack of content to farm beyond level +70. It feels like the initial stages of the game were well-polished, but now it’s just repetitive duplicates with slightly different rolls, there are around 4 diffrent staff´s same with main handers, but honestly where is the loot?

Its definitely decent. But the team that made this game is supposed to be capable of much more than decent. That’s the big issue. The wasted potential of not releasing a great, genre-defining game.

D3 was not “designed”… Jay Wilson had no idea what he was doing. A redditor could have done a better job.

The open never ending endgame in any aarpg is pvp for playing and mf/trade for gear.

Everything else that the devs do such as ladders, leaderboards for speedrunning dungeons etc is grea but I don’t require it of them. I honestly think their job once delivered the game is to patch balances etc.

@Rectum seasons aren’t end game.

  • The devs are casual players who play max 1-3 hours a day
  • In their eyes 6 weeks (launch to season) is time for barely getting 1 char to 100
  • This is why there´s no endgame, the devs can´t even think that far, they just want us to repeat the same experience on season and if someone manages to reach 100 he´s supposed to just roll a new char
