Quick sorc feedback pre-testing the PTR

i get that they want to reduce cdr, since its what makes the sorc so bad, it always pigeonholed us into the same shematic.

But then they add these new Boots who also have a cdr affix that can be a ga and mwt.
Its just :man_facepalming:

Imo all the cdr needs to go and the skills all need a complete overhaul, to make the classes much more diverse.

lmao and our weapons will be changed to just the focus and we will have to cast spells like a real sorcerer with our hands XD

This kind of crap is all over the game, but it’s so especially bad on sorc. Like crakling energy and lightning is presumably supposed to be a build, right? There’s paragon boards about it, there’s aspects about it, there’s skills about it - but it it very obviously can’t be doing the intended damage because it’s utterly worthless.

Necro blood skills are kind of in this camp too. Why are these things allowed to be so utterly useless?

Sir this is a buff, they’re lowering the cooldown to 30-15.

Please fix Burning Instinct Legendary node, change it to scale on fire damage and not critical damage.
Burning damage is DOT type, it doesn’t crit. There is no synergy there, and with the caps the node became completely useless.

I have absolutely zero tolerance for CDR nerfs, please blizz leave my favorite affix alone.

They say that the barbarian is difficult to balance because of the 4 weapons. Give him a cape, tunic, shoulder pad and belt. Two amulets? Why not? 3 Enchantments? It’s not difficult to improve the class. Just play with it. Do pit 80 without a shield. Try it.

The problem doesn’t lie squarely on the arsenal system. It is part of the issue, but as a whole, the class is simply well designed and no inherent weakness. Melee isn’t a weakness btw, every class effectively plays in melee or psuedo melee regardless.

The Sorc enchantments don’t even come close to the power of this system. People keep citing 3 enchantment slots, but that won’t fix anything. The enchantments themselves, aside from a very select few, are largely meaningless overall. I’d rather have another ring and amulet slot over the entire system as a whole, because it’s criminally underpowered.

How do you fix it? Short of an overhaul I don’t know. Most of the options are terrible or unused anyways. There isn’t much real power in them grandscheme and they are too narrow in scope.

If they take away our defense and want us to be more offensive then they have to give us something that does big damage. Nope., that did not happen and the only time the Sorc has done big damage, it turned out to be a mistake that was corrected at the end of the season

I watched the campfire chat, saw the new unique for sorcs… And pre ordered War Within instead.

It’s very very obvious to me that they want absolutely nobody playing sorc. And I’m pissed about it. And if they actually think they’re making purposeful, good decisions on the class…

Then the diablo team does not deserve my pre order money. That’s really all there is to it. As much fun as I’m having in S4, does not erase the neglect and willfully ignorant nerfing of my favorite class repeatedly by the dev team.

They want us to use staves… Not like we are allowed to equip a shield ya know ?

That’s obviously too much to have, just put it 0 slots for a season so we can figure out how much our future revamped class feature has to give to match other classes and Barb.

I have a flay barb, Pit 162 clear. Re-think again, the nerf comes from herrmorhage and flay duration.

You may want to check out flay barb. Fyi i have 4 barbs in s4, bash, flay, ww and support. Bash is sitting there carrying gears as mule for other 3 barbs. It has less usage than support barb.
