Question for D4 players not the quitters, constant complainers or haters

  1. I don’t know, maybe I’ll start with the Spiritborn. I tried it a bit this season, but it’s the only class I haven’t delved into yet. I won’t start with my favorite class just because it’s always the one that never gets anything. I’ll be superstitious this time!
  2. While leveling, I’ll test and decide as I go :see_no_evil:
  1. Enjoy the seasonal quest, finish the last two achievements I have left and reach T4, since they say it will be aspirational. If it’s not, I’ll shrug it off and see you in the next season :joy:
  2. My snack buddy usually comes back to try the season, so I’ll switch between my lone wolf spirit and party grinding. Also, the citadel needs to be conquered, I have to reach 100,000 coins, so that will require some teamwork too :ok_woman:
  3. Really not much, I don’t even worry about it generally. But they said they’re making changes, so let’s see what happens!

6 - Not much time usually

Initially Rogue looked like interesting idea but the more I think about it I think I might try out Druid after a long while…

Probably open/start with Shred but then swap to Storm tbh

Rogue

No idea, never played one.

Actually, none of them; I’m not big on the season theme.

Getting to T4 as a “Casual Andy.”

Solo. Always & only solo.

Never done it, don’t care if I do or not. Making T4 is the only goal.

I DO BOTH BECAUSE SOMETIMES IT REALLY TAKES A TEAM EFFORT TO PLAY AGAINST THE REALLY BIG GUYS AND NOT GET KILLED !!
IN MOST GAMES I START WITH THE WIZARD I JUST LIKE HER STYLE FOR SOME REASON AND SHE HAS SOME SERIOUS BUILDUPS AVAILABLE AS YOU GO FARTHER INTO THE GAME !!
I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT HOW LONG IT TAKES BECAUSE IN MY SITUATION I CAN NOT PLAY EVERY DAY BUT WHEN I DO PLAY I AM ON IT FOR HOURS ON END! [quote=“Avalon-11311, post:1, topic:218770, full:true”]
If you plain on playing season 8:

  1. Which class will you use first?
  2. Which build will you start with?
  3. Which boss power looks interesting to you?
  4. What would you like to accomplish in S8?
  5. Will you run mostly solo or team up with others?
  6. How long does it usually take you to complete the season Journey and Battlepass?

  • Which class will you use first?
    Prob sorc

  • Which build will you start with?
I normally start off with hydra till it falls off then switch to FB pending what gear I have

  • Which boss power looks interesting to you?
Donno didnt play PTR so it will be a surprise

  • What would you like to accomplish in S8?
Same thing I do every season. Get all cosmetics and titles. I dont see myself grinding to 300 because pit is linear garbage.

  • Will you run mostly solo or team up with others?
Depends whos on. I tend to play more with friends then anything else.

  • How long does it usually take you to complete the season Journey and Battlepass?

S7 was done in under 50 hours/10 days. Hopefully S8 isnt as D3 season like.

I typically start with the build/class I enjoyed most the previous season. So next season will be a tough call as I wasn’t a huge fan of the builds this season. Probably go with WW/quake barb as it was still solid on PTR without abusing seasonal powers.

I’m hoping there will be more fun builds next season. As the changes will likely mean I spend less time on each character. So hoping there are a dozen good builds so I can get a few weeks next season.

In any case I play SSF and I typically finish the battlepass/journey in a few days maybe a week.

  3. Whichever fits my builds, but will spam duriels burrow probably.
  4. Nothing, got to 300 before and like 220 on hardcore, I’m good with whatever I’ll achieve here, fun is my goal.
  5. Clan is busy but people leave in a few weeks so solo afterwards.
  6. A week maybe.

  1. Sorcerer. ALWAYS no matter how bad the nerfs turn out. lol
  2. I’m thinking ball lightning. But well see what drops.
  3. I played the PTR and MOST of them are pretty good from a fantasy perspective. The one that fits my build the best.
  4. Everything
  5. Solo
  6. About 1-2 weeks. Well it depends. Sometimes the objectives are not organicly integrated into fun activities and you realize in week 3 or 4 you still haven’t completed the thing. lol

Thanks everyone.

For me

  1. SB for most of the season.
  2. Not sure yet, most likely will run with the Jaguar this time.
  3. I did not run the PTR I want to be surprised.
  4. Hopefully get into T4 not sure if I will be able to do it.
  5. 95% solo, I will see if Iggi and Nyurei will help me in T4 (if needed) for the final rewards.
  6. Two weeks, after that I just play around, I do not care about Pit150 nor paragon 300.

Probably one of the meta builds. Wanna be in that 10% that gets to torment 4. They’ll probably have another pet or something at the end of the season journey that requires doing certain things on torment 4.

A few more questions:

  1. At what point do you think you might be done with S8?
  2. Will you stick with one class/build, or will you create alts?
  3. Did you watch any streamers or YouTube clips about season S8?
  4. Do you just copy other people’s meta builds, or do you like to do your own thing?
  5. If you plan on teaming up, is it only with friends?
  6. Will you blast the season as fast as possible, or will you take your time?

No, I do not work for Blizzard, just interested in what other PLAYERS will be doing in S8.

Yes, after reading claims that proved to be misrepresented or cherry picked to take them out of context in discussions here.

  1. Necromancer
  2. Summoner
  3. Belial’s Eye Beams
  4. Complete the Battle Pass
  5. Solo
  6. Length of entire season. I play casual. I didn’t even finish this season.
  1. Probably about a month before S8 ends.
  2. One class
  3. I did yeah. Rob for the general strong stuff and Mac for the new sword stuff.
  4. I build my own. It’s the fun part of the game for me. Now when it comes to pushing Pit tiers, I want to have the goal of pushing higher this season & that’ll mean using meta & ofc also mean copying said meta build.
  5. N/A
  6. I probably should blast because in S7 I went too far on the casual end and I’m probably not going to make the season journey.

At what point do you think you might be done with S8?

Whenever I get bored, I suppose

Will you stick with one class/build, or will you create alts?

Generally, I create all the classes to try out all the new features, as well as to vary things up and extend the season.

Did you watch any streamers or YouTube clips about season S8?

I watched a video of Rob, I skipped ahead without checking the details just to see how long it took him to hit level 60 to get an idea. I’d say I was a bit disappointed.

Do you just copy other people’s meta builds, or do you like to do your own thing?

I create my own builds, but I tend to copy at least one speedfarming build. If there are fun builds, I give them a try, I don’t see anything wrong with that. But I always do it once I’ve finished to explore everything new, I don’t like spoiling the game for myself

If you plan on teaming up, is it only with friends?

I team up with a friend regularly until one of us gets tired. I also really enjoy playing solo, but when needed, I group up with strangers too, especially for content like the Dark Citadel. Not my favourite thing, tho.

Will you blast the season as fast as possible, or will you take your time?

I’ll take my sweet time, as always. Unfortunately, I’m very efficient and the game is just too easy, so I tend to burn through it pretty quickly anyway.
