a ‘basic’ loot filter would be a plus.
Basically, I just would like to be able to hide legendary items.
(I am not even requesting a complex loot filter)

I think you would want a loot filter that hides item power values rather than rarity.

You do know that’s a design choice made at the beginning of the game development cycle? Torchlight’s, like Fate’s, pets had stats and equipment and also acted as combat elements. They did not work just as loot bags. Atop this they also had timers and coding for that return trip and selling as well as their own inventory.
They were effectively a second companion and a mix of loot trolley and mercenary.

yes, like hiding stuff we wear which equals or is under Item Level 751.
the approach of the loot filter of ‘Hero Siege’ is relatively basic, but in fact efficient and you feel great using it.
Then why even suggest it knowing that the pets don’t have any of these functions and never have in the series? “Veteran” =/= “Reasonable” for some reason.

Ive never felt the need for one, but wont lose any sleep if they add it to the game. You need to sell and salvage items for neccessary resources anyway and by the time I get to GA Im just leaving it all on ground unless GA or unique drops.
This is a coding limitation that cannot be implemented into these games. This is a design choice you have to make upfront because of the timer and how it works. As you’re a “veteran” I don’t need to explain the details to you, right? You understand the hardcoded nature of it all.
If it bothers you so much why are you in every loot filter thread spamming negativity and offering no alternatives or solutions?
