PTR and season 8 is a train wreck

Blizzard has been changing the game a lot and it’s getting really annoying! Why so much bureaucracy to kill bosses in order? Give the community freedom to do the things we want! I don’t play anymore but seeing Blizzard wanting to resurrect a corpse is sad!

The season 7 achievements were over the top. I consider myself casual. Blizzard is always contradicting itself that the game is casual! But it’s not! I’m not a Diablo 4 streamer and I don’t want to be because the game has never been fun, unfortunately!

Diablo 4 is two years old and what we’ve seen so far have been very bad decisions for the game and the community. The game should be a fluid and carefree experience. But it’s full of horrible mechanics of ingredients linked to bosses. When Blizzard turned Diablo 4 into a live service I thought to myself: “This is going to fail!” And today I can confirm it…

No direction for game, no creativity and no one willing to take risks to give us the next legendary game in the Diablo series. If the original creators of Diablo had this attitude we would still be playing pong.
At this point I wish it was as good as a train wreck.

Season 8 looks bad to me. Lets base a season on mindless boss farming? what?

Already got one, now comes another one…
It’s cyclic in the D games series…

Just curious why you’re still wanting to engage on the forum and in game direction? Is it a protest over the resurrection that’s making you sad?

Do you find it hard to objectively assess where the games going without playing it and purely based on commentary? Not all of the commentary is accurate from what I see which would make fact checking difficult.

Just curious your view. You’re welcome to it whatever it is of course.

D4 is a casual game. Its very far from being a hard to play game.
They problem is that you guys want a brainless and effortless game to play.

Is a trainwreck? You’re basing this on the fact that it hasn’t released yet, and you haven’t played it yet?

I was about to say, every Diablo game is pretty much this to a T. What do you do in D2R? Kill nothing but bosses. What do you do in D3? Run a gauntlet which, oh look at that, has a boss to kill at the end. What do you do in D4? NMD, Tributes, Infernal Hordes, Lair Bosses, and Pits, what do they all have in common? Killing a boss at the end.

Every single game has us running through enemies to get to a boss, some bosses are just easier to get to than others is all.

OK, let’s talk who put that corpse in the coffin in the first place ? :person_shrugging:

Did anyone of us did it or someone more prominent with more, borderline immediate, if not even DIRECT power ?

I mean we can or can’t speculate whether Blizz did a “contract” with Maxroll and all that, but we all know, literally ALL OF US know, it was Maxroll that not only screwed with development and growth but also borderline completely destroyed the game

Yes, they’re trying to “resurrect a corpse” because selfish idiots that think of themselves only without taking the game’s long-term health into consideration were the ones giving directions or how things need to be made (without even acknowledging the uniqueness of design and overall more fragile/new design and face of the game)

I mean if I even look at a clip from S7 I can’t even recognize it’s D4… It literally looks and feels like D3 “disco balls” all over again

And I’d even add “personal wishes on a silver plate” in there, cause we all know how much BS was directly obeyed from people that arguably DID NOT even want to play the game

Look at how complicated some of these are (will they even work right?). Look at how most of these are just more numbers. Hardly any of these seem actually fun. The freeze beam looks cool and the duriel bury one is wtf weird but thats about it. Its just numbers numbers numbers. Where is the imagination!?

There are a couple that are interesting, but I still think S7 powers were worse than S2, and collectively S8 will probably be worse than S7.

They’re called ‘mains’ and ‘modifiers’ but they really should be called ‘major’ and ‘minor’. They’re just describing how many of each you can slot, not relative functionality. Some are like a cool beam, others are like ‘knock down this enemy with your core skill’. How is that a main power and not a modifier. Some of these I don’t think any amount of buffs could make interesting.

I can only talk for me but this is not true at all. I want a game …
… where I get a value for my time invested
… that desn’t force me to group up for efficient (boss) farming
… where classes are approximately balanced
… where not every season you have bugged season powers that end up in a class or two beeing S+++ Tier
… that is not designed around the content creators and pros. Not everyone can play 10-15h / day. (Just give them a Content Creator mode where loot and XP is only 10%. Problem solved)
… where I have time AND STASH in a season for several classes and builds
… where the loot is not changed every 2 seasons (see Yellows)
… and many more
