Those hearts only have one use - to spawn the maiden and get the loot buff. That’s it. If you don’t click the altar, you get half the loot you would with the buff. I’m there for gear and I’ll gladly share the buff with others who show me the same courtesy. If they don’t, I’ll go open chests and/or tp to/from town to change shards.
