Not all maps were randomized in the early part of Diablo 2. I remember being able to run bots that would farm Pindleskin and Mephisto because the maps were always the same and you could easily navigate the bots to those boss locations.
Pindle want random. And yeah durance level 3 was always the same but those are boss levels the levels leading to them were. Most not all but most boss levels stayed the same.
I tried looking for a WASD option about 30 minutes into playing, and was sad it wasnât an option much agreed, it is a request!
Diablo Immortal has WASD support. Also tons of isometric games use WASD. Thereâs no justifiable reason to not add it to D4. More accessibility options only improve a game.
Youâre wrong on this. Thereâs already two inputs in Diablo 4, mouse and keyboard, plus controller. D2R and D3 also have both options. Then Diablo Immortal has WASD support as well. Plus nearly all modern competitive PC games allow M&K and controller. Diablo is mainly a PvE game, so needing to balance player inputs isnât of any real importance. Especially considering controller can auto aim right now, similar to in D2R and D3. So if you should be worried about any input (you shouldnâtâŚ), itâd be controller. Thereâs absolutely no reason to gatekeep the settings menu. Many isometric games use WASD movement, so itâs really only fair to add it to D4. Your classic click to move would still be the default option, itâs a win win for everyone.
Itâs clear youâve never played a WASD based game. So it makes no sense that youâd be so against something you donât even understand. Most PC games use WASD as the movement scheme. All of which require you to click other keys while playing as well. The typical FPS game utilizes 1,2,3,4,G,R,E,Q,F,Shift,Ctrl,Alt,Space,Z,X,C,V (everything after Shift doesnât even require you to stop pressing WASD). Any person thatâs played a WASD based game knows how intuitive it is to press other keys while moving. Itâs simple muscle memory. And more options is a good thing for a game. Especially here with D4, as controller movement already exists. Thus adding WASD support would be easy to implement. I fully respect click to move, but youâre being selfish and ignorant over a simple accessibility option.
Give us the WASD choice please.
So by using your logic, old games shouldnât support 4k resolution, ultra-wide, DLSS, ray tracing and other newer technologies just because âit was made this wayâ.
âDiablo is a clickerâ and who are you to say that? Will having wasd as an OPTION hurt you in any way?
Are you scared that youâd like it and swallow your own words?
Youâre going against yourself for having RSI and refusing to have more accessibility options.
How about you play the game you want and let others play the way they want? No oneâs forcing you to use wasd.
The lack of WASD is one of the few things that is kind of ruining the game for me.
Totally agree with you.
Adding WSAD will also make control more smoothly and melee characters will benefit the most from it.
WASD should be top priority right now
+1 Played Diablo 2. Played Diablo 3. Wanted it in those games. Still want it now.
Implicit in this comment is the admission that WASD could potentially be superior. I personally think more options is better.
