Please no blood knight in d4

Looks so bad and cheesey, devil may cry. Its okay for your little app game with its silly themes but not in d4.

Why does it look bad and how is it cheesy?

First its reskinned Arthas, not sure you caught that. The entire core story of blood and “the darkness fears me” dialogue is extreme cheese. The romanticized devil may cry look is awful like twilight but lets make it darker. So much more but the cringe wont let me say more

I thought the stein they were selling on the blizz store had a symbol for the next class? I would think it’d be some type of dark crusader, blood knight wouldn’t surprise me.

well it is a cash grab mobile game so it doesn’t surprise me they’d rip off assets from another game.

Its a cheese class great for mobile. Should not be taken seriously for d4

You won’t get the real answer because the real answer is “my mom told me mobile games are bad”.

People upset because websites masquerading as “game news” told them “China mobile game BAD!!!”.

So now a perfectly good class is “bad” because it’s on a good fun Diablo game first before maybe being on D4.

I would have to agree. From a lore perspective, where did they come from??

Not to keen on playing as Count Dracula. But if other ppl like it good for them.

Honestly i’d be more interested in playing as a demon or an angel class. Lore wise they already have in cannon Angels and Demons getting tired of the eternal conflict granted lilith gimped em all lol.

Or maybe play as a Khazra haha. If I remember correctly they used to be human from Umbaru where the witch doctors come from.

If that ever happens im calling dibs on Gharbad as my character name.

For this time, I will be quite agree with the complain. I think Blood Knight is too close to the Necromancer character with just a more powerful melee build. I mean Necromancer already have tons of blood skills, he can be quite vampiric too, and he got some melee build too.
It’s quite uninspired. I will rather like a more original class, like Witch Doctor was fun and original, a good surprise, nobody was expecting a Witch Doctor  I mean it can be something else than a WD, but not that blood knight vampire.

first class is gonna be a cleric… maybe a priest. We aren’t getting a paladin or crusader

Class is way too archade. this needs more grounded and gritty character like a fallen penitent knight or cleric of some sort.

Hopefully the next class, as others have said, is something like a cleric/priest. Bloodknight isn’t going to happen because Necro already has a blood-side to it and druid can shapeshift ^^

What the hell are you talking about? Have you ever seen Devil May Cry? The characters there wear modern clothes - shirts, leather jackets, jeans, plaid skirts, etc. nobody sports a medieval armor with a cape not even the demons or the angels who are generally fleshy, animalistic or plantlike.

The blood knight has the same aesthetic as the necromancer and the demon hunter and spouts the same kind of dialogue. We already have a vampire faction in Diablo 4 with multiple dungeons and basically the same getup. The class fits right in - someone was infected with the vampire curse but managed to keep his wits and redirected his hunger towards the enemies of humanity. It is not even a stretch to justify the existence of such a class. The biggest problem for this class making it into Diablo 4 is that it overlaps too much with the Necromancer class whose blood skills fulfil the vampire fantasy already and as pointed out before - the class already has a similar aesthetic to it.

I’m actually not opposed to it, but I think if we do ever see it, it will be a ways away.

I would expect to see the following first:

  1. Paladin / Crusader / Holy Knight
  2. Witch Doctor
  3. Amazon
  4. Monk / Martial Arts
  5. Shadow Priest
  • or something along those lines (Shadow damage is in the game now and we have a lot of WoW people on the D4 staff apparently)

I love the idea of new classes. Blood Knight overlaps a bit with a Knight/Necromancer too much in my opinion though, so that’s the main reason I don’t want it. At least not anytime soon. But it could work and be done cool.

At least they get some form of actual content that’s not a socketable aspect… I think it would have been a cool replacement for the paladin/crusader class. At first I also thought it was for d4 and I was actually hyped for it as paladin was always a favourite for me. Was kind of a letdown when I realized d4 wasn’t important enough to get its own showcase and they shared the time with a mobile game that was actually getting content.

D4 already has vampires, hell it has blood magic necros, were well past cringe already just go with it. We also have werewolves and werebears for the cubs and furries. Just dont think about it.

If you’re using twilight as your reference point for vampires, that’s your own problem.

some people see anything new and think its cool. Blizzard could have made a mummy knight and players would be omg so cool- look at the bandaids how they attack and omg he has a sarcophagus wow.

I have a vision… Doublewielding Polearm Rogue

Yeah ok but Gorlock … err I mean the Druid, isn’t cheesy?
