Don’t mix challenge and farming, they are different.
For me, i don’t even care to be challenging in the game and compete streamers on leaderboards.
The only think freaks me out is when i can’t even farm in higher tiers because i don’t play meta build.
If i want challenge i can go push pit. I am talking about farming here.
Yes this is unacceptable for me. At least let me farm on higher tiers and don’t punish me because my build is off meta.
Who are we trying to balance for?
There is no end game where you are engaging with others and being gatekept from content due to your build.
There is no end game at all really. So outside of bug fixes it really makes no difference whatsoever if a build is broken or not for each season.
The damage is already done either way, a mid season rebalance doesn’t change the fact that Blizzard has absolutely no idea what’s going on behind the scenes in the game and would serve to do nothing more than anger the people that are playing the build, and another equally as broken build will surface right after the patch and the cycle will continue anyway, just with more angry people.
“We’ll fix it next season” has been the D4 motto since Eternal first launched.
Nerfs for an ARPG where you’re playing dungeons with yourself.

Because the class is so broken it’s not fun to play or even play with. For the select few that are having fun with it, they’re not having fun because it’s fun…they’re having fun farming loot at super early periods in the game so they can sell their stuff on d2jsp for huge profit. That’s it. That’s the only reason people defend this mess of crap.

idc if they nerf SB or buff everything else. The only issue is how vast a chasm there is between the broken SB builds and everything else. Like 100x more power. It’s completely out of the scope of “well this class is the meta this season”. It’s playing a completely different game than everything else.

I don’t think it matters at this point, so may as well leave it like it is.
The early season hardcore players are already bored and leaving in droves. Dad gamers are chugging along. Non-spirit born players are playing the forum game. Rob is now saying “Trillions of damage!” instead of billions.
All my friends were in the early hardcore group and now I’m barely holding on while enjoying reading the forums.

Fair enough. I stopped playing because of it. Economy in shambles, which is not recoverable at this point. So hopefully they roll out the next season quickly and don’t do this again (they will).

The challenge is getting on each tier without copying some streamer build. Once you overcome the hurdle of getting into that tier, next challenge is becoming comfortable on that tier (coz u might unlock T4 but barely unlocking it on time). After that the challenge is pushing higher pits.
For streamers the challenge is making the next bazillion damage content.
Edit: If you copied a streamer, the challenge is where to RMT the items lol

The game already is dull and boring.
Someone else using a spec you don’t consider fair changes nothing to how dull and boring the non-existent end game is.
Outside of like 5% of the total available content, you will never interact with other players anyway, so balance means nothing since there is no content in the game you are balancing yourself against.
If the ones who think sb is op DONT PLAY IT. Go play a barb or just play a reg sb build. was alread told to everyone that t4 was going to be real hard to get to. SB for the win!!!

So the answer to that is what exactly? Make it completely braindead so everyone quits? I don’t understand this way of thinking.
Personally, I did find the change in difficulty refreshing. I didn’t use the new class, of course. So I had a good experience. If you buff everything to where spirit born is right now, it will affect the way I play the game. I hate power creep.

Problem is this is way beyond power creep. This is more powerful than most cheat codes in most games.
No the answer to that is stop making the game so dull and boring, with or without op builds the game has no soul to it.
You do not in any way have to interact with another, so what someone else is doing or if they find that braindead build to be what they enjoy (remember most people playing D4 are drunk on the couch after work, braindead is fine for them) then who cares?
It’s not like they have some great loot advantage that does anything at all for them, because there is nothing to do anyway.
Spirit born is getting fixed next hotfix. It’s been confirmed but its only for the evade build.

Evade build just got rekt and as predicted by me and others was affecting other ppl gameplay with lag and crashes.
