I loved the necro because I could stand back and let the skellies tank while I nuked down the mobs, albeit slightly in a less powerful way than sorcerer.
With them, still, getting killed off in 2-3 hits I abandoned that idea, no biggie, going rogue instead.
But like every class bleww through the content. I’m not sure what your argument is here. Sorc obliterated stuff even off screen and still does after “nerfs” same with rogue. Not sure why they nerf anything at this point when we are only seeing a fraction of the game. When my skeletons couldn’t even take a hit against the TUTORIAL BOSS I didn’t even want to play the class. I literally deleted it and started a rogue.
Every class did not blow through the content the way that Necro blew through the content that is nonsense (except maybe Hydra and Chain Lightning Sorc and they got nerfed too).
D4 is definitely not D3 reskinned* for Necros. In D3 you get 7 skeleton warriors and they are autospawned. You then pull mages from corpses. You can’t even heal your skeletons in D4 by re-summoning. Not nearly as fun as D3 imho, and I play HC on D3. Moving from PC → console for D4.
