So true … previous versions (D1 + D2) gave 0% choice (Class choice only, not appearance) … and D3 only gave gender choice of male/female, but, not any other appearance selections. This is a step-up compared to the past D1, D2, and D3 games … that being said … I still would like eye colors/designs available across all the classes (I already made an earlier post about it).
Yet some people still cry about it.

Let me explain “my way” of playing Diablo 4 with a little example.
I wanna keep spinning whirlwind with pair of one handed axes, during whirlwind throw axes random direction every 0.5 seconds, then throwed axes do fire explosion small radius upon impact, also whirlwind and axe throw changed to fire damage…
This is my way of hacking then slashing, my expactation of aspect/codex possibilities. And blizzard give us nothing about it. Otherwise please change diablo 4 genre arpg/hack n slash to crpg or jrpg.
My way of playing… Not playing. D4 is a joke, from the price, to them thinking they invented the “final boss” oh sorry, “Pinnacle Boss” Less customization than D3 and they think its worth having battle pass.
150hours isn’t a long game for this genre. It’s pretty pathetic. They back tracked so hard on the “It’s like an MMO” lies.
I’m so happy to see that bridges have internet now. It’s been a long time coming, it really has.
Give this guy a medal he knows how to make a druid ![]()
It’s almost… ALMOST… as if these people screeching about fat druids, necros needing a bust slider, etc, are just the lowest of the common basement living gamer types, fulfilling their waifu pillow given duties as breathing stereotypes.
Lets all be brutally honest with ourselves; after you get some gear and skills, you won’t have a single clue what your character looks like. You’ll be scanning for mobs, loot, gatherable resources, etc; ya know, playing the freakin’ game?! I screwed around and customized my beta characters and… couldn’t tell you what they looked like, because I was busy playing the beta, and not being one.
Well you are wrong. Blizzard made it so that character is presented better compared to any other D game. Screen is more zoomed in as well. That is to present character, to see what cool stuff CHARACTER can do. That will make tons of money for Blizz (paid cosmetics) who want you to see who does all this badass stuff in the game. Fact that you do not care & consider enemies as health bars with mechanics does not mean everybody else have to. Your opinion under fake “brutally honest” accent is just that. Your one opinion. It does not apply to community. Deal with this bruttaly honest truth Dante.
it was empty PR words , dont believe it ![]()
someone was paid to write it down, someone was paid to deliver it.
“play your way but be there for that boss at this time or miss it!”
sorry thats not my way at all.
what’s funny is all these “i don’t buy it i don’t like it sooo much i won’t play it” guys… bought it. if they were serious, they’d have refunded already and moved on. wouldn’t be moaning about it. so the very fact they moan about it, is proof they aren’t serious about their threats. it’s the behaviour of spoilt brats, not adult people consistent with their assertions.
they will play, moaning all time til release, then whining privately about how their dreamy druid isn’t there as all other waifu female characters they cherish… and that’s it. so nobody actually would take notice, nor care in the least about them crying, let alone do something about it.
why would anyone, let alone the producer of something, change anything in their product ever… because a tiny insignificant minority of their existing customers base (let that sink in slowly: tiny insignificant minority, not representative of anyone but their little selves, a zerozerosomething on the number of satisfied customers) threatens “not to buy” something they have already bought? lol
youre going too deep imo. it’s gonna be more like “lul fat ahah” and then move on ![]()
maybe dust out the lady crying from joy meme while at it for good measure.
Exactly this right here! They need to stop this bs and wake up to the community.
We want to play our way, not a fat druid way forced upon you. Whatever the player wants, skinny, big etc.
the only thing he´ll raid is the fridge, battle-crying N I I ! !
he races there against rod ferguson.
You forgot Drakthyr tank. I know of people who quit because the mighty dragon couldn’t take a hit.
Order at burger King now and you will be glad to actually get anything.
Have it your way! have it your way! have it your way! Play your way in D4! Play your way in D4! Play your way in D4!
Anytime a company hypes “Play your way” it means the opposite of what they say.
It says “play your way”, and yet everything you complain about is regarding how your character looks, not how it plays.
That may be the OP’s perspective, and I may even empathize to a degree, but in my opinion it has more to do with the lack of balance between classes and even just build variety in those classes.
I haven’t gotten to experience the end game yet, and Blizz has a history of balancing around a specific level towards the end game, so for now I am just waiting (and crossing my fingers) to see how it pans out.
However in the beginning levels it was clear to see that the metas of each class were far beyond any variant alternatives. If those gaps don’t become shorter closer to end game then that by itself will be a conflict of the claim “play your way”.
