Play you way !? really !?

This isn’t really any different to Seasons in Diablo 3, or other games I have played with seasons.

It’s a grind but all games are a grind.
It’s boring then maybe the game is not for you.
You keep doing the same thing over and over. That’s a you problem if you can’t vary what you do in game.

The complaints are the boring part.

im most sure i will finish the pass, thing is… this is a game I wish i wanted to play for long hours… i play alot of hours already since launch, but now i do a run or two and i get bored and i go play something else a bit, because all starts to feel very repetitive grindy and even slower now since last patch… i never got so bored of a game so fast… and i play many. so yeh i dunno maybe its a me issue too who knows

You know the game is good when you got lemmings who will do the hamster wheel without complaint…over and over and over and over…much like working IRL…wonderful you not only get to work IRL you get to work in Diablo4 as well…congratulations…you will love it…oh and give us a few dollars/euros just so we know you love us…and remember…dont complain about this game…else we may not like you that much and do things…so get out there and pick that damn cotton now!

Play your way
with basically 1 viable build per class
on this linear path to the end of the battle pass
enjoy your homework

Then why do we need to re-do it ?

the biggest of lies, just behind that “we are listening to the community”, but how will they know what to do if they don’t play the game for real, they are the same ones who judge a book by its cover and don’t read anything, the only thing they know how to do is be fake as they love to do in recorded and combined lives

No, its not just you. The current gameplay loop is not very good right now. I’m currently planning on finishing the season pass and that’s it. Some of their decisions have heavily demotivated me. They haven’t nerf overperforming builds, haven’t buffed underperforming builds, and for some reason adding a gem tab and fixing resistances will take another 3 months?

This may end up going the way of D3 for me where I got my enjoyment out of it at launch and played again when the expansion improved it a lot.

Yeah well that’s not as simple as some people think it may be.

You don’t just change a few settings in the game and magically gems are treated like crafting mats or have their own gem stash.

They have to insert a complete new table section into the database that keeps track of your character. Then they have to code in the way collection of gems are done, then make sure they didn’t break anything, then get some players to test it and then work out how they broke it and fix that and all that before releasing it.

But it’s something that they said they would look into doing before the game even released. So it’s actually 4 1/2 months. Plus, people in beta were constantly saying it.

Yea, play how you want, what’s the issue?

That’s technically the case no matter how they design the game. Could they have designed it so I could choose my character’s main hand? Probably.

Did you know the main creative guy at Blizzard now ran a hedge fund? 1%ers doing 1%er stuff.

I’m sorry that you didn’t read the part where you only need to complete 9 of the 12 objectives to complete each chapter of the season journey.

You also apparently didn’t read/watch any of the dev updates before release where they said it would be like this.

Lastly, cellars are pretty good. Good for farming elixir mats. And you can do them simultaneously with whispers for an extra reward. Whispers got a huge xp boost in the last patch, and you can often do them simultaneously w/ pvp and helltides, and whispers are also an additional reward for dungeons (can be nm or regular), legion events, and world bosses.

False. Here.

  1. Open the season menu.
  2. Click “learn about season progression” (I’m on ps5 so it’s bound to the r analog stick for me)
  3. Earn favor by killing monsters, completing quests, and completing objectives in the season journey

And if you had played at all, you’d notice popups telling you you gained a reward on the battle pass at a time when you didn’t complete an objective.

Yep, just playing the game how you want will complete most of the season journey objectives.

Some are specific to certain things like to do some PvP but that just means you go to a field of hatred, kill mobs to collect the pieces you need to purify and that’s it. You don’t actually need to be fighting another player at all.

It’s amazing how many objectives you can complete without even thinking of them just by leveling up your character.

And the battle pass progresses just by playing.

Haha if I were playing “my way” I would have quit diablo 4 long ago. At launch I wanted to make a companion druid, yikes. That would have made me quit the game for sure. Everything takes too long, they want us out in the world, then they have the nightmare dungeons. How about them trying to at least make sure that whatever we do in the game is pretty balanced in regards to the experience. Do they even play the game or are they only looking at the numbers? That’s the real question.

I should note I don’t mean nerf the experience of everything because that’s something they would do. I’m talking about bringing up the experience, fix the bad builds people aren’t playing. Just make the game FUN hire some real people who play the game and ask them what they think. Actually I talk that back, ask people who aren’t working for you. Plenty of feedback out there.

I remember them saying not all the chores are required to earn a new level but feels like they changed their mind last moment for some reason

or you just play it your way. the missions get completed pretty much without paying attention to them.

You don’t have to do the season pass if you don’t want to. Your way may be to completely not do the seasonal objectives if you want to. You can still play your way in the season – ignore the seasonal questline if you want, no one is forcing you.

if this is all the season as to offer, it feels like diablo 3, all over again, and I most likely wont be playing much… i was hoping for little more then what we already had in d3, and to b fare not even diablo 3 felt this repetitive when it comes to rift scenarios… in diablo 4 the open world is amazing and alot of variety never feels like your in the same place… but when it comes to dungeons its complete copy pasta from one another, they ddnt even change the ambient light or anything they just had some malign silly thing to the cave… so kinda feels like you always doing same place…

when it comes to season pass i know i dont have to do season nor i have to buy season pass, but then its even less of a reason to play or much less rewarding if i dont spend money…

i rather go back to play grim dawn where i have much bigger selction of class’s and builds to play… a much better itemization, a gigantic open world map with very little fast loading screens, lots of end content and reasons to keep farming with 0 lags in single player… game as tons of skins that drop from kills you can tmog enchant and much more all for free…you can filll up to two bars with skills and items, you got alot of them to choose from… you can move camera… you iventory is huge… there no cash grab shop and game as been kept updatated for free along the years not to mention just costs 60 bucks with 2 big xpansions and lots of free updates… and game still looks quite ok with the outdated graphics expecialy if you reshade it and use retexture pack, oh yeh game is fully moddable UwU…

So yeh im sorry if for 100 bucks i payed for this game i was expecting a little bit more… i still hope they sort game better in time and make it more fun to play… but as of the moment im kinda bored of it… just how i feel… i hope you all having more fun with it then i am

You are smoking something if you think this low buget content was not the plan .
