Eh, so far I’m at like level 46, just unlocked wt3, and am running a non-meta shadow dot + minions necro build. I can tell it’s going to be less good from here on out, but I’ll slowly transition to the shadow dot sans minions meta I guess.
Just saying, if I didn’t need to get anything again, what would I do? I have the map open, and I’ve only got like 25% of the lilith altars. Still many waypoints to unlock (again). Still many dungeons. That is the meat of the game though, doing all those things. Walking around and opening things back up, killing on the way, leveling, it’s all part of the experience.
I’ve been having fun “playing my way” but I suppose I may crib from a guide once I’m in the upper tiers. Overall though this game is fun and I like it, it was worth the 70 bucks.
Will it be better in the future? Hell to the yes. Did I know that going in? Also yes.
So I don’t want to devalue complaining totally as the company is shifting as a result (and for the better far as I can tell). I guess I could just never be that guy, who says with a straight face “this game doesn’t make me feel awesome enough, you savages have screwed it up!”
I guess I have the benefit that no one I genuinely care about in life gives a damn about this game, so it limits how much I can care about it as well. It’s not my safe space, it isn’t where I derive general happiness. It’s all just a deliberate waste of time.
But I am still having fun. I’ll have even more fun once they fix a few things. I will still find rerolling and leveling fun even if I need to do it on a regular basis to avoid the endgame.
