Pit boss bug: hp exponentially health after pit 110

Posting here for visibility. Pit boss at tier 103 dies in 30 seconds for me. Pit boss at tier 117 still has half health after 5 minutee of attacks. More details / context in the bug link ticket that i created below, and also note this issue did not exist in s4.

Please like the bug ticket if you have same observations so that the issue gets escalated

Working as intended.

Sight your source that reflects boss Health / DR goes up by 1000% between 10 levels, starting at pit 110.

Unless you are a dev or have something in the notes to share, your comment just falls flat and unhelpful.

As far as I know it never worked lineary… Was always like this.

Ok. 1000% increase is an obvious bug.

Im ok with things not being exactly linear but an extreme spike is poor game design.

Also note this spike did not exist in s4. So something changed

Won´t argue about it, I am missing data. Did just 101 at S4 (HC so no balls to go highter).
But I saw pretty big spike every single floor.

I believe it was mentioned somewhere the HP increase was exponential. Last season I run Pit 101 for mats. I needed more than 30 s to take down the Boss, probably around 1 to 1.5 min. The max Pit I reached was P 113 not because I was killed by the mobs or the Boss but because I couldn’t take it down before the timer stopped.

Did you look at the boss’s total health on each pit run and use them to calculate that 1000% figure?

Dude, youre answering my question with another question? Site your source.

My numbers again are a 30 second kill to a 10 minute kill. This is actually a 1900% increase

Also, as we all know, blizz math and numbers are a joke, so looking at health bars is not a valid suggestion. Also, im not suggesting it is health under the hood that is causing this. Could be DR.

I remember seeing somewhere a 17% HP increase per Pit level starting from Pit 100. Don’t know if this is a reliable number.

Boss HP has been reduced by 5 for Season 5. If the17% is correct, HP is supposed to be similar to a S4 Boss 10 Pit levels lower. If Boss fight was the tough part, as I seemed to be for many, on paper you should be able to do Pits 10 level higher than before. This is not my experience but as usual many changes have also been made to builds, usually making them weaker.

You didn’t ask a question in the post I replied to.

Health bars are the only valid number to use because you specifically claimed in your post that boss health increased 1000%. Time is not a good indicator because of the stacking debuff. In a 30s fight, you can ignore damage and blitz the boss. In a longer fight, you cannot ignore damage because the boss will eventually 1 shot you with enough debuff stacks. This results in a much lower sustained dps against the boss and a longer fight.

Boss health has always increased exponentially in the pit. It’s possible they adjusted it more because of the immense power gains available in S5 with new legendaries and uniques. You can’t expect to keep up with an eternal character that has old gear.

You need to recheck what i wrote. Also youre clearly missing the points of the thread.

1.) Time to kill pit boss between pit 117 is 1900% longer than pit 103. This bug was brought up in PTR by quite a few people and remains unfixed. 1900% is extreme and unviable.
2.) Similarly, time to kill between s4 pit 117 and s5 117 sees similar exponential variance.
3.) We are fine with a differnce in power / health between pit levels, but clearly something is broken in tthis scenario.

Lastly,

1.) equipment options are the same between season s4 and s5. So your knowledge has some gaps. Feel free to correct me with an example.
2.) I asked you to sight your source. You didnt. You responded with another question.

Your original post title said pit boss HP was bugged. You provided 0 information about what the boss HP were. In the time you’ve spent arguing with me, you could have easily gone into pit 101 and pit 117, checked the health bars, and provided numbers so we can actually verify what the HP are and whether they are scaling properly according to the published formula. Time to kill is not a direct measure of HP for reasons I explained.

Equipment options are not the same in S4 and S5. Uber uniques have been massively buffed, many other uniques have been buffed, new uniques have been added, and new legendary aspects have been added. You have a strange definition of “the same.”

You didn’t ask me to do anything, you tried to command me to cite my source (there’s the proper spelling for you). Asking ends with a question mark, like when I asked you if you had looked at the boss health bars. Rather than answer, “No, I have not,” which was all you needed to say, you began attacking me. If you want to report a bug and get it fixed, providing as much detail as possible is the best thing to do. You did not do that.

? But per your comment and everything being buffed, why is he doing it slower now? Your directly contradicting yourself here

He’s on an eternal character using season 4 gear. He’s not close to the power level a fully decked out season 5 character will be. No contradiction at all.

Have you ever played eternal? We have the same equipent options.

Im on eternal now with the same upgraded equipment that in season people have in s5. For example, i have the new starless with the new affixes.

Putting you on block now since since its not constructive and you are not seeking to understand or help. And clearly there is a knowledge gap on your end.

The HP has always been stacking exponetially, it got nerfed but its still scale in similar way just the starting point Is lower

Here Is scaling from last season https://tinyurl.com/2mkhre3k this season the HP pools should be lower but scale in same way

Dude repeatedly made false statements, then claimed he said something different when I called him out on it lol. Gotta love the forums.

Yah, my damage has doubled with s5 in eternal. For example, i went from 9m dps damage in s4 (in season) to 24m dps (due to new equipment, paragon board, skill updates).

Still with damage doubling and attack speed doubling, the TTK (time to kill metric) has significantly increased. Between s4 and s5 for the same tier.

life goes up for every level of pit
