I’ll never understand why they put so much effort into making bosses like Lilith, Duriel, Andariel, etc. but made them less rewarding than one of the easiest bosses in the game (Belial).

The tiered boss system, and subsequently the reward structure therein, just exists to pad out the game. Except the dupers got in the way, and the entire market revolves around the dupers.
