Penetrating shot automatically fires 2nd time after using it once

Penetration Shot shooting twice

When I trigger a penetration shot and move with my left mouse click while the monster is still alive, my character shoots another penetration shot. This is annoying when I am trying to kite or build up combo points before my next shot. Anyone know a fix?
