Path of Exile 2 can't get here soon enough

I’m so ready for game X that I’m going to go post on game Y’s forums

you know that Path of Exile is in a bad spot when the players can’t even post on their own boards lol.

The evolution of maximizing profits can clearly be seen when looking at their other IP. Why are mobile games so good at getting money? easy to play anywhere which means more screen time which means more money. D3 had nothing like this. diablo immortal was a successful test model for this, even though it is a hybrid console game.

Blah, blah, blah. If Blizzard wanted to manipulate players into buying cosmetics, they wouldn’t have introduced dozens of highly-detailed, high quality transmogs and a dye system at no additional cost. You’re delusional.

All PoE needs to do is allow free respec in softcore non-season. There is absolutely no reason not to do this. The characters are retired and the only thing to do with them is experiment with builds or simply learn the game. Even then you will see legions of PoE players object to this as easy mode and a violation of the D2 pedigree, while they revive their hardcore characters in SC and pop gems willy nilly in and out of their gear.

This is what I can’t get over. Why let people waste 50+ hours on a class that they could have just adjusted before releasing the game to everyone. I was begging them to do it before we picked classes. Why would they wait until wasting everyone’s time first? It’s just bizarre.

The problem with people like you is, you don’t see the fundamental problem with large sweeping class changes on DAY 2 OF EARLY ACCESS.

They had months of closed beta testing, a closed beta and a server slam, and they are doing drastic class changes now? And the players are the whiners?

Straight up clown behavior right here.

Maybe you missed the part where everyone in the game looks like something Marilyn Manson would make in the Oblivion character generator.

People being dramatic like it’s the end of the world, it’s crazy. x) No class is nerfed to death or unplayable, you can still play what you want. If you prefer overly unnecessarily complicated systems, PoE is still there to play, dunno why you trying to announce another game in this forum.
I tried PoE so many times and could not go over an hour of playtime, the story was generic AF, skill tree too complicated for people that are not content creators and that ones using their guides. If people are having fun with that game, great, happy for you, I am more than happy Blizzard created this masterpiece with a pretty awesome story for the rest of us

Im having an amazing time, sorry you are so triggered to make this your first post. Best of luck with POE 2! The good news is they have been using POE 2 modes in POE for years so you already are playing it

I think what a lot of you don’t get is that we PAID for a complete game. Day 1, day 100, it doesn’t matter. the game should be complete. It’s boring. Period. Some of you could be entertained by literally anything. The rest of us think the game needs seasoning in a big way. The problem with you younger people is you weren’t around when the genre was good. Hence why people still gravitate to older titles like D2.

Remember when you got rewarded with Skill level ups, powerful gear, or permanent stats after doing quests? remember when entire builds were made from collecting lego’s? Remember when Lego’s had a Unique look to them? Remember when every build worked no matter the build you chose?

None of this crap is Diablo. I’m sorry kids, but you don’t know what you’ve missed.

With the state of POE, do you really think Path of Exile 2 is not going to have nerfs, and do the same thing Blizzard does?

Some of you are living in your own world.

Than that is your problem. This is not a complete game. Most games are not complete games. They get patches and updates.

This is 2023. Games are a service. Get use to it or stop buying them.

And the old diablos got updates and changes with nerfs as well. Well besides 1. But who cares?

I bet people will whine at how poe is superior to poe2. I have such a hard time seeing poe2 being good right off the bat. Also it’s f2p and I hope they haven’t given in to making it p2w this time around. Tencent still owns path of exile right? Has to be a lot of pressure from the top but let’s hope they don’t go that route.

Edit: poe lives and dies on the quality of the leagues and they’ve been pretty bad as of late. I think they’ve lost their touch honestly.

People forget that POE was trash at the start, and it had its golden moments, but the last few seasons they have been hurting the game with its balance and changes as well.

So anyone who says they can’t wait for POE 2 because of nerfs in this game makes me laugh so hard.

PoE was boring trash with a mindnumbingly and needlessley complex passive tree. It’s there to make a bunch of dimwits think they’re smart when they finally get it right, when really they just brute forced a poorly designed system into submission. PoE WISHES it were diablo.

dont worry POE 2 will suck just like the first one LOL

I remember playing PoE during Beta and initial release the most. I remember the devs were doubling down against the MASSIVE desync issues due to melee being borderline unplayable and doors killing many HC builds with the gross rubberbanding. The dev was saying, “This is on purpose. We believe if add more, it’ll make rubberbanding a lot less and stabilize the game!” Then Path of Desync was born until they finally did their jobs and fixed the issues nearly a year later. Fun times!

Ya, and to this day they still don’t have melee done well. Many of the melee builds are gimmicks, that don’t feel good. Some are just ghetto range.

POE is not really a good example.
