Literally zero focus on the failed aspects or item interactions. How do these people have jobs? Madness.
barb is still garbage. this is just pathetic
when you sell billions on a game, youāve already succeeded basically; Thereās no way for all of our barb screaming to have an actual negative impact on them. Theyāve functionally āWonā already, the money is in the bank.
Things will keep plinking along like this until its time to try and sell a DLC, and then suddenly theyāll spring into action with a giant āoh, we REALLY do hear your complaints!ā Spiel and suddenly act like theyāre actually trying to fix things (1-2 years down the line) with some promises, and itāll be dropped as soon as the DLC drops and sales are completed.
This pattern happened in WOW all the time, where youād literally have to wait for an entire new expansion to drop for a class to get fixed.
This really worries me. It seems like there is some disconnect between development teams. Diablo III had this same problem with many legendary powers being useless because they donāt scale at end-game. Why is Blizzard still making this same mistake?
Donāt thing theyāll ever learn. Thereās always a disconnect between what the players want and what the devs try to accomplish.
I guess the idea is to have a high level barb, disenchant the aspect, then send it to low level barb for fast levelingā¦
Because they kick out the old talent, and then the new talent comes in thinking their ideas are new and end up making the same mistakes their predecessors did.
It really feels like whoever is making these legendaries have flat #ās that donāt scale has not actually played any end game content.
If Iām hitting for millions of damage, why would I want a legendary that adds another 4.5k damage??
what do flat dmg legendary aspects scale with outside of item power? main stat, vul dmg, crit, crit dmg, and the additive dmg bucket?
Is this the list of skills Barb donāt use? or Garbage skills?
Wait, I actually already really like Iron Maelstrom so Iām down with these updates. Been playing Walking Arsenal basically entire game, at 85 doing NM 50 mostly and itās been pretty smooth. Buffs for Iron Skin and itās aspect only going to help my build further.
Rest of changes seem a bit lackluster.
Maelstrom buffs are more in line with what everything else needed: 25% less cooldown, 3x more crit chance, 2x more crit damage, and a 50% increase to the base damage of one of its attacks. Might be pretty dope to use now.
Everything else was pretty negligible in comparison. Theyāre always deathly afraid of giving melee too much power, but are more than willing to grind anything to a stump if it does well.
So weird.
Since other classes does well, I wouldnāt put it like that. It seems more like barbs got targeted because they took the spotlight away from the other classes.
What I find weird is the talk about 13 pages, yet the patch they release is this one.
13 pages of mediocrity.
Theyāve just always had a genuine dislike for melee. John Yang was the only one who was with us. We need The Yang back, boys.
How does that count as 13 pages though? Thatās the weird part.
Iām theorycrafting an Upheaval/Hellhammer leap/quake CotA build based on these buffs. The idea is pseudo range, high mobility, with lots of ground effects doing damage over time, the trick is going to be getting berserk and/or vulnerability uptime.
Makes me wish I didnāt just scrap my Hellhammer and saved some of the juicy well rolled quake leggos I had.
Canāt. An aspect takes the level of the item, then gives that level to the new item.
No passing aspects downā¦
Did you read the full patch notes? Tons of bug fixes and other things. Iām sure thereās 13 pages in there. If the class skill changes were only one page each, thatās 5 pages right there.
Yeah, I read it. Read the class tuning changes too. https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo4/23964909/diablo-iv-patch-notes
But you do realise that the size of that patch is like an average WoW patch, right? Thereās nothing āmassiveā about it. Itās just a simple patch.
Itās also really goofy for him to expect a public version of what was likely a tech heavy document to be 13 pages on release. It was still a substantial amount of patch notes. Operative word being NOTES.
