Patch 2.0.5 notes

Aha right you are.
I started S6 with a CL Sorc.

People have issues with letting things go.

I’ve yet to see a poorly performing SB build. Maybe people have opted not to play off-meta SB builds? Could that be the case?

funny how a 2nd sb build that clears 150 just got a massive buff for…reasons?

yo blizz, put people that actually play the game in charge instead of throwing darts blindly at an idea board.

thanks.

Hey man who cares? I play the game to have fun and could give a slit less about pit levels

they look at metrics and they buffed under played builds because it makes sense if a skill isnt being used by a lot of players that it is underperforming. that poison thorns build that uses toxic skin is a newer build and it came out of china so the majority of the playerbase didnt know about it. im sure it will become a popular build over the next couple weeks

They “buffed” ice and fire mages, while the lightning mage, even with the best build possible, can only do Pit 100. Meanwhile, Spiritborn, with the worst build possible, can reach 120. I expected more—see you in January for the next season

Considering how many non-sb players will be outraged (and even how confused some of us dirty no good SB players are) at buffs for SB, I find it a strange choice to present SB changes at the top of the notes outside the area for other class changes.

Also my Sorcs are very sad with how little love they got compared to some other classes QQ

what locked rewards are you referring to?
you can grind to 300 but dont need to and it is meant to be grindy

and if it is too easily obtained, then we will have another “The game’s too easy to get to Para 300” threads…

You get a mount and a mount trophy.

Also, I never said make it easy. It just needs to be less taxing on the casual player. I’ve been playing regularly all season and I’m 262 so it’s safe to say I’m not making it.

You and me both. I’ve pushed pretty hard this season on the barb. He’s at 271. I don’t think I can get any further. They wanted it out of reach for human beings, they got it. Only SBs spamming 60 second P100 runs are going to make 300.

I didnt know that, now i do.

well, that’s the chase. To grind it out.

Almost a 50% increase to DOT duration stacking on top of +444% DOT damage has to result in more executions, sounds like an overall buff to me.

Yes, they did fix it. Apparently the bug was that it always proc’d so they disabled it. They have fixed that now and gave MT a damage buff to compensate for the fact it now works as intended.

The piercing cold aspect is a slap in the face, they should have buffed ice shard by at least 50% and left triggered casts of it at current damage. Its problems are not that you’re doing too little damage 5 enemies deep, but rather that on its own it’s a single target attack that’s very weak.

Simply….unimpressed…

They did this with the last patch notes too. They noted expansion changes first, then went into base game changes. I can kind of understand separating them, because not everyone owns the expansion, but it doesn’t look right.

Just separate the patch notes by category. Endgame content tweaks, classes, bug fixes, etc. Don’t need to separate them by expansions. What happens when the 2nd expansion comes out? We’ll have three segments in the patch notes divided by expansion 2, then 1, then base game?

Again, here they are trying to drive nails with tack hammers.

“oh, this class’ abilities are severely under performing across every single endgame landscape? let’s buff this skill nobody uses from 30% to 40%”

Gee. thanks.

sighs

They buffed Penitent Greaves.

Nobody on this earth uses those for any build, at all. …THE UNIQUE EFFECT Is trash. It doesn’t matter what the stats are!!!

Oh! They very, very minimally buffed Starfall Coronet?? Awesome! Now people can continue to not use it in any Meteor build whatsoever.

As if Meteor is just so insanely powerful as a damage dealing spell that they have to take a light milquetoast touch with it or it’ll spiral into Spiritborn levels of damage ROFL… and we can’t have that, can we fam?

This team…
