30% reduction on a torment boss that should have been at least 50% reduction is nothing. I tried one of them and I didn’t have a life problem, but I couldn’t damage the boss hardly at all. I just quit; I’m not going to hack away at something for 30 minutes I don’t care what it might drop.
The only thing they did was reduce the pit distances. Now the majority pit 100 and the hardcore pit 130. Instead of improving the game… they made another palliative. Pit is still bad. Said this from PTR. Fendas worsened nefalens. In real challenges. Like a special pit every 10… with 2 Butches… 2 Maidens. Demons appearing in more than one direction.
I did a tormented Duriel 2x rota earlier today and he just melted. Granted it was a party of 4 barbs and Duriel has been the easier compared to Andy so curious if anyone has noticed if she is easier. Another unusual thing is that out of 8 total runs, 3 ubers dropped for me and 2 for other people in the party.
You must not be playing a bugged build. Blizzard needs to buff every non bugged build to be on par with the bugged builds. They can keep lying about the best builds not being bugged that’s fine.
Just help the normal builds out. A lot. Blizzard.
Same with my human LS druid, just did 97 super easy… Will be cool to get the masterworking on the gear done quicker.
You mean like when they made the 40% xp buff and ruin the story experience?

by introducing yet another “pit” mechanic to further devaluate the Open World?

by raising the mob density to the point they had to unarm every single enemy to keep the game playabel?

Yes, all of that… Well the last point is kinda too recent so not sure about it yet
I mean if I were to imagine - think Tempering is fine (for the most part) as a mechanic and looked at from a stand-alone perspective (perhaps narrow the numbers a bit)
It’s the 4-5 manuals that brick items (all for weapons, 2 for Sorc, 1 for Barb, Druid, and Necro respectively) that need to be taken another look at

They could just get rid of the 6 times temper and just let monster drop “scrolls” with 5-6 Affixes kinda like the temper is now. That roll can be used once and you get 1 of the inscritpions. You do not break any items and you can keep farming for nice “Scrolls” as long as you want till you get the inscription you want.
It would add longevity to the game as well as something else aside of Items and Mats to the lootpool and would not be able to brick an item.
That would be to many scrolls, but I agree, that some kind of consumable to reset Temper attempts would be great.
Also, having option to lock a stat would be nice. Like, you get minimum roll of desired stat, and you can choose between that one and the new roll (that could be a stat you don’t want/need at all, or a better roll of the stat you want).
What if their gain rate is similar to Stygian stones ?
Maybe instead of repeat tempering manuals being redundant they make it so each time you find that tempering scroll, you get the 5-6 attempts again.
