Reading this forum make you feel like you are in some weird parallel dimension? I am sitting here with a huge smile on my face after a great dungeon run I just did, I adore the game, and then I come on here and everyones all like THIS IS THE WORSTS GAME EVER. It’s so different from my day to day enjoyment of the game it makes me feel like I am going a bit mad.
Yeah, me too. Inb4 your post gets flag bombed.
Anyone up for a drinking game? Take a shot for every time someone says shill or White Knight in this thread.
Welcome on d4 forum, where the worst mad people come together to hate xd
Your post might end up flagged, because it goes against those mad people, and because they are mad the will come together to take it down xd
I like the game, personally. However, I fully am aware and recognize that there are things that need to get better. Things to add, things to tweak, blah, blah.
Nothing wrong with tweaking.
All i need is a unique crossbow Niahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa HA HA HA hahahahaha HA!!! HAAAAAAAAAA!!! <— see what Lizzard haz done to miiiiiiiii
I can handle lag, i can handle nearly everything but not having a unique crossbow and ohh yes non-uber unique 1-handed swords? Are there any? njanjannjanjanjaaaa lalalala time to chew some fresh treebark nommnomm.
Yes im ok.
You want to give us all alcohol poisoning or something? lmao
The game is a good game, I enjoy it regularly. I am quite critical of the itemization and lack of finished gameplay loops in the end game (like crafting, gems, leaderboards, pvp, meaningless world). The skeleton of the game is there and it’s good, the itemization is in need of some serious improvement though, but if they finish fleshing it out it should be a great game.
That’s IF, the problem is they seem hell bent on pushing seasonal monetization as a first priority and that is frustrating. We just want the game to be fixed and finished.
They also did nothing to address this frustration by showcasing devs playing the game ineptly and bringing their cash shop up as an engagement metric when interviewed.
While you play game they play forums.
Its good for casuals and people who do not know any better. For those who have been playing ARPGs for a while, this game lacks in EVERY aspect imaginable.
You have great patience my friend! I can’t stand lag and rubberbanding, it just breaks the immersion and annoys me to no end lol.
To the poster, I love the franchise, I don’t love D4 as it currently stands. I smiled when I played it the first couple of weeks, but after that it feels like a chore… The subsequent decisions didn’t help improve my opinion on the game.
Then I guess you are easily entertained.
There will always be people in life that like mediocre things…
People are just generally miserable now because of our unfair economy, phones, and weird fads like no fap.
You probably don’t know any better, so the mediocrity of the bare minimum is sufficient to satiate your needs.
But nobody argues that that there aren’t simple gamers, who can be easily satisfied. Just throw them 3 tasks to do and watch them go at it like Chinese gold-farmers.
We are arguing that given a particular reasonable standard for what is considered a good game, this game fails it miserably.
Hell, even I can give my nephew a paper plane and tell him to throw it, then run to it and catch it, and then do it all over again. And in all likeliness he’ll find that enjoyable, because he’s still 7 years old and can be entertained easily. And, probably, think to himself “why does my 17 years old brother not want to play this fun game with me?!?!”. Cause he’s 17. He needs a bit more stimulation to remain engaged in repeating the same simple activity.
Not everyone will agree on things as people like different things.
It is easy enough to ignore the nonsense posts though.
And they are free to express their opinion. But you are free to not read them.
Why do some posters assume that because people like a game they don’t it must because that person is new to gaming or lack the experience needed to know what is good or bad? I like the game and I’ve most likely been playing video games for longer than you’ve been breathing kiddo. Hate to break this to you, but your opinion about what is good and bad is not the be all, end all. Some people love candy crush. I do not. But that doesn’t mean my opinion is superior and everyone who loves candy crush are somehow wrong. Get over yourself already.
Edit: Just saw your edit. You’re only 17 years old. That explains a lot.
Yeah, some things have a relative aspect to them. Nobody denies that.
However, D4 relative to its promises, conditions of development and relative to its own pretense(AAA game that recaptures the Diablo spirit/essence), then it fails miserably.
I don’t know exactly what you don’t understand. If this wasn’t called Diablo, it wasn’t from Blizzard, it didn’t have the history of the promises made prior to release and the hype generated prior to release - the game is decent. Not ground-breaking, or something: I don’t think any other game will copy anything from D4 in its current state.
In isolation, yeah, the game is… OK. Not worth 70$ for sure. If it’s lower price, not called Diablo and just advertised as a game that can engage you and provide you with things to do for 50-60 hours, then the game is “good” relative to these promises, or ends.
It most likely will.
I don’t agree with the OP at all, but their opinion is theirs and who am I to attack another person for having one.
Personally, I feel the game should not have released until Christmas.
