Yea I’d love an option to never see another player at any time. A toggle button in the options for when I just want to be immersed in the story and do my own thing would make literally everyone happy.
I played Diablo 1 through on every class, some multiple times. 10k hours in D2 and D3 each. The solo experience was part of the experience, and you could choose to party up in D2 as an added thing. The default being a swarm of people crawling all over my map is unwelcome and jarring to a lot of people.
