That would be a stupid thing to argue. There is no standard “live service seasonal” bible everyone follows, nor is there a standardized definition of the term.
Cool, and the D4 devs have stated there will be massive (by your standards) constant changes.
Unfortunately, the « massive constant changes » each season brings are not so about true additional game content but rework of the classes and the items.
Pretty interesting Just How Many Trolls Here Are Saying The OP Can’t Tell Them How To Play And Yet See No Issue In Telling HIM How To Play! Funny how many hypocrites are representing themselves here as true fans of the Buzzard Troll Game Enterprises…
So many comments about it being a live service game, like Blizzard set out to have these large changes to old gear and system reworks with every season, while also intoducing new gear.
This is the byproduct of poor design and course correction. Eternal players don’t want such extreme changes to the game, just as much as Blizzard doesn’t want to use their resources doing them.
These have been good & necessary changes, but not ideal for their workload, as I am sure they would like to get the game in a more stable place.
Then onto the idea that some are suggesting that this style of updates keeps eternal players playing, when they would otherwise not, is backwards in my opinion. For me it is having the opposite effect, as I don’t want to play without some semblance of longevity in the systems and gear they introduce into the game.
Ironic cause in the ToS its very clear they can change things in the game. And they been very clear that the game is live service. Still u struggle to understand this and whine about it.
Never said that u did. Im stating u should if u dont accept that the game is getting updates. Which was very clear before release.
Thats what the topics is about. Eternal players whining about they have to farm items.
No they dont. Read the ToS. U signed it u know.
And just above u claim that they need excuses for updating the game. Are u high? Make up your mind.
Where did i state that its automatically means constant, massive changes? I claimed they have all the right to do as big or small changes as they like. However they updating the game is expected.
Also big changes makes the game feel fresh. So im not against it but actually enjoy it. New meta, new build, new items. All good.
It seem u struggle with the reading. Dont waste my time with your manbaby tears.
Infact there are plenty other games which doesnt get updates anymore. Maybe those would suit you better.
I play seasonal only but since S4 made everything garbage and I refarmed everything again, wanted to play 1 cycle on eternal since I’m decked out with uber uniques (1 GA too) and 12/12 MW. Wanted to push as high as possible before VOH but nope garbage again. So another seasonal hero since need to start from scratch anyway.
Advocating for eternal changes equates to advocating for development time to be wasted on eternal. Ergo, pointing out the badness of eternal and the stupidity of the arguments in its favour advocates for said development resources remaining where they should be; seasons.
You’re never going to get the carte blanche eternal love fest thread, because what you want for the game is mutually exclusive to what we want. Eternal will eternally be mocked and derided, as well it should be.
Who told him how to play? He can do what he likes… as long as it doesn’t involve development time from seasons or the expectation of a lack of pushback against eternal-centric feedback.
I play both seasonal and Eternal. The way both realms are set up is just fine. Someone is always going to be complaining but the way it is now gives you a choice. Choice is good.
They they should just remove the game mode. Along with the hardcore variant.
But…they haven’t so it should be considered on decision making since it has a playing population.
I get what you are saying and I bet that is what is practically occurring, but without these threads there is absolutely no way to draw attention to this oversight - if it indeed is an oversight.
It could very well be purposeful with poor communication.
