Not a game for hardcore players?

I see many people complaining about the game and the fact the got bored already, but I definitely don’t feel bored. I played all open betas and I started at early acces. I’m level 54 with my Barb and still enjoying the game very much.

Can this be due to the fact that I work, so I can actually play just a couple of hours a day? Maybe all bored people are burning out because they are playing too much? I have a feeling that D4 is designed more for casual players that for hardcore players.

What do you think?

Yes, it’s not, not right now anyways and this is fine. Hardcores can never be happy at launch unless there is 0 casual content, imho just not possible to ever have enough content on launch.

As far as your personal experience goes, I’m sorry but many casual players have already made it to WT3 and WT4 and it’s there where the true issues arise. Plenty of negative feedback is legit, especially around scaling which hits casual players like you the most.

glad you’re having fun!

I would avoid HC until its balanced

I’ playing at WT3 and no problem so far.
To be fair I did just 1 nightmare dungeon, some side quest and normal dungeons. But I’m cruising trough content right now.

The game is designed so that people do story and then grind battle pass over season casually while slowly getting more skills and paragon points. “Hardcore” players grind to the end game expecting there are some weekly lockout raid bosses or something and then are disappointed there is nothing waiting for them. The game is fun for players who enjoy the journey, which something many gamers forgot how to do.

I can only go for maybe an hour in a session before I just can’t be bothered anymore. If my friends weren’t playing it, I wouldn’t be either.

How long have you played until now?

Backstabbers mod does seem a bit strong, 150% extra damage when hitting from behind.

I assume this player also didn’t have up some defensive mechanics, on my Sorc I have to have the enemies burning to take 40% less damage from them so I assume this is an unfortunate combo.

Damage like this doesn’t happen outside of nightmare dungeons though, so pushing up against enemies that are above level 100 when they have super strong effects is probably the time you want to use a death evasion elixir.

Yes I saw that and I agree that the game need balancing. But I want to reach level 80+ to judge.

I dunno, maybe 15 hrs since launch?

Ok so you just don’t like the game I guess

lv 86 here (zero exploits or some absurd XP grind focus sucking life out of the game). I honestly have a lot of fun, I have few things to farm, if I would have them already, I wouldn’t mind (in fact, I would prefer it). I am absolutely looking forward season. I will do few more levels, take another stab and lilith. Honestly wont complain. I would like some solution for Aspect/Gem/Consumable storage. I can’t imagine having two chars in current situation even if I would get two extra tabs.

I’m glad to see that there are high level people who are still enjoying the game.

Absolutely, I think it is best to take it as complete experience. If you delve on single point then that I guess might become the issue. I enjoyed the story, loved graphics, the music. Now I do everything, I push higher NMs, I do helltides, kill and die in PvP, trade good rares I find, sometime I just explore the world because it’s so frakking damn beautiful, finishing side quests while listening what it is actual about, farm world bosses for cosmetic rewards… today I felt like goblins spawn more than usual, so I went on goblin hunt.

I wish it would be cheaper and easier to experiment with builds at high levels. That’s my biggest grip with the game. But it doesn’t ruin it for me by long shot.

Nice. I also think that variety is key. If you farm all day the same dungeons to fast grind, of course you are going get bored.
Of course the game is not perfect and needs to be adjusted, but this minor problems don’t bother me at all.

In many, many ways, it’s best aRPG experience I’ve ever had.

Let’s see what new content they will bring to keep things interesting. I’m looking forward to it.

I am sure we are getting at least 1 world tier at lv 80 with first season, together with new gem tiers and item tier (or at least IP range). But that’s ofc baseline, I can’t wait to see new uniques/legendaries (which again bring me to pain point of respec cost and absence of saved presets). Obviously I am really looking forward Seasonal theme and mechanisms as well as Battle Pass. I will probably take a break from DIV two weeks before season starts, plenty of other things to do.

I am level 46 and bored with it…
The game is just not fun, I only got that far because I thought it may improve later on, tries different classes and just find more desire to log on to SWTOR or Lostark or even watch TV.
There is little about this I find entertaining, and I liked D3.
Hoped for more I guess

There was a thread yesterday saying people’s opinion below like 65-70 do not really matter.

Because people below that have not really reached the point most people complain about
