Anyone had the same issue and fixed it somehow? any help is appreciated. sound is on, there’s simply no music even though the slider is on 100%
I tested the following already:
turn sound on / off ingame
repair game files in the launcher
checked settings in windows/ingame. it’s set on stereo, device is properly set too, actually all good = should work.
apparently only a few people are affected. pretty weird bug I guess…
No idea if it matters but my soundcard is a PCI-e Creative Soundblaster Z

ok so I just randomly changed the game language to german and it suddenly works again…I don’t dare to switch back to english…
ok just did, it works now all of a sudden. download another language pack I guess lol
edit: aaaaand today the music’s gone again. It’s like rolling dice apparently but most of the time you get no music

Running a client repair worked for me.
Got this same exact issue, glad that I’m not the only one.
At this point I just hope for a rollback of this horrendous patch.
Same here. Tried scan and repair but still not working.
Never mind. I seam to have lost all music again after a crash.
Ran a repair, which brought back music. Then logged off and back on and it’s gone again…
I checked mine a couple times, the audio seems to be fine so far. But without the FG and the DLSS, its not working as smoothly as it used to. It plays, but its just not the same.

OK so I’m not going crazy. I don’t have any music either, although I do have all other sound effects and NPC dialogue. It did come back after the latest update but after a crash it disappeared again. I doubt that it’s your sound card, I’m using the onboard sound and nada. It’s just another Blizzard bug.
Yup no more music at all when you start the game being the menu’s or in the game itself.
No music here aswell … its so random … sometimes i start game music is on … sometimes music is off … “checking for repair” doesnt fix …
yep, it’s random. weird. my “fix” from above was just a coincidence…so save your time trying…
Adhonaj and Xmancode are correct. If you don’t hear music just before the character screen, quit and load again. I have to do this numerous times, the RNG is never on my side…
No music here either.
Turns out music is quite important, it’s rather lame without it.
I will actually have to test this I think. I normally don’t have music enabled.
