No Attack Speed on Weapons?

PTR had attack speed on weapons, S4 doesn’t allow it at all. Don’t believe me, go look at enchanting possibilities and tempering list…wtf?? Why can’t we roll attack speed at all on weapons???.. Surely this has to be a bug. When will this be addressed? This is crazy how much this limits builds.

Edit: I’m playing Barbarian so don’t know if this effects other weapon types but I assume so.

Probably not a bug.

Attack speed could get capped pretty easy with weapons and nothing else. While I would have liked to seen it kept at a lower value, with masterworking and Barbs having 4 weapons even a low value could be problematic.

Okay so they removed it, didn’t mention it in patch notes and are aware that higher IAS breakpoints are 70-90% for most builds which is literally impossible with 14% IAS on gloves and then aspects… You really believe that’s a fundamental change they’d make without telling us whatsoever?

The patch notes are terribly written and they leave important things like this out regularly. Something not being in the patch notes should never be considered a valid argument around here.

damn, that gives “amateurs”. sad
take your product more seriously wth

They probably took it off weapons so it would be available evenly to all the classes.

Sad if true. I would hope as they notice things missing they would go back and edit?

Just this week alone we had to find out Necromancers lost 20 minion mastery ranks through an informal dev interview on a streamer’s channel, and we only found that out because the streamer chose to ask.

They make big changes to frozen orb and dust devils and those went into the patch notes, but big changes to Necro minions did not. Your guess is as good as mine why it’s so arbitrary.

The entire tempering balance section of the patch notes, you know the thing the entire season is based on, was simply “we made changes to tempering”. The patch notes literally titled as PTR updates, that should tell us things from the PTR that were changed, intentionally left out updates to the principle mechanic we were testing.

You can’t lose what you never had. PTR isn’t live. Otherwise, you could also claim everyone “lost” an NPC to instantly make you lv 100, provide a full set of Legendaries, and every Aspect.

And you couldn’t seriously expect +28 Golem Mastery to go live with any honesty.

Let me reiterate. This is a HUGE change. Making this change makes high attack speed breakpoints impossible for all classes as it is 70-90% IAS for most skills. I strongly believe this is a glitch and not a feature. Otherwise they’ve essentially just nerfed every attack breakpoint in the game with zero notification. That makes no sense at all.

Blizzard stated that the tempers were rebalanced which included moving stuff around from temper manual to temper manual.

Everything that was fun and new on the PTR was nerfed or removed on the live version. This season has been a huge letdown personally.

It is possible, wouldn’t you say, to have something on the PTR and then lose it before going live. To showcase this distinction, they could title the patch notes in big capital letters “Updates from the Public Test Realm.”

I was thinking of suggesting it go on only 1 item and why that item shouldn’t be the amulet and then typing that on the official game forum and discussing it with other people.

I miss Harry. I remember all the good times we had. :hamster:

Nice.
After trying for close to 2 billion gold to roll attack speed on a crossbow, i started searching the web and found this discussion.

Thats why i prefer to have final patch notes before the game goes live.

their a option to look at what possible rolls u could get per items. i always check the list before i do any reroll to make sure i know what i want is an option.
