same, the steam community is screaming for help
Same problem for me after the update on Steam.
Same here, I bought at steam and this morning the same issue, so I reached out to battle.net through the ticket system, they told me to contact steam lol, so after some back and forth they understood that it was a battle.net problem, and I got a reply that said
âAfter a deep investigation, we have to inform you that we were just notified that Diablo IV is having a maintenance that can last up to 24 hours. As a gamer myself, I really understand how frustrating this can be, so a thousand apologies for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to post your issue in our forum, so this can get more visibility and get fixed sooner: Diablo IV Forumsâ
and then I told them when or how am I getting notified and then I got this:
"I understand you are facing difficulties to play Diablo IV on Steam due to âTrial accountâ error message. As a Diablo player myself, I know this is a situation no one wants to be in.
I did some digging into this and do see that weâve been getting some other reports about this happening. While we donât have any workarounds or resolutions we can provide at the moment, the issue is currently being investigated. We will notify of any updates in our forums.
Thank you for your understanding and if thereâs anything else we can assist you with, please let us know."

They better rollback the patch for such a huge inconvenience and fix and test before release a new one. Ainât nobody got time for this crap.

Hey Blizzard, may I asked till when you will have this fixed? Today, tomorrow this week?? That would help me avoiding to restart the game every few minutes to check if it works now. Probably your servers also dont like massive client game restarts, assuming that not only me is trying to get logged in every few minutes Cheers
